Years Later~Y/N walked towards a tall figure in the cold weather slowly. As she approached him, he faced her.
"H-hi Y/N" he said nervously
"Hi...Kenji" she said avoiding eye contact
"Would you like something to drink?" He asked noticing her grip the opening of her long black coat pocket.
"No thank you...What did you call me for..." she asked looking up at the nervous boy
"Well...I...I want to apologize..." he said regretfully
Y/N stayed silent. She sighed heavily in the cold winter weather. Hot breathy fog coming out of her mouth.
"Don't apologize..."
"But Y/N-"
"I know you didn't do anything wrong," she said with a small frown
"How-"
"Someone explained everything to me..." she said beginning to walk up the small hill
"O-oh..." he said following her
"H-how have you been?" He asked putting his hands in his grey coat pockets
"Well, I'm healthy so I guess pretty good, you?"
"Mmm, I've been doing okay" he said glancing at her
"Mmm" she mumbled awkwardly
"I heard Kun is back" he said wanting to start a conversation
"Yeah..."
"Have you spoken with him?"
"A bit"
"How's Aito doing?" She asked glancing at him
"Pretty good, I guess. He's less quiet and sometimes he gets really loud when we play games" he said with a chuckle
"How are the others?"
"Good, I guess"
"Mmm" he said walking towards a familiar bridge that ran across the large pond. He continued to walk over the bridge before noticing Y/N wasn't beside him. He turned back slightly seeing Y/N clench her fists lightly upon seeing the bridge.
"What's wrong?" He asked taking a step towards her
"I can't" she said slowly as she took a step back
"You can't what?" He asked beginning to worry
"I'm not ready..."
"Wha- ...You mean..."
"I'm not ready to pass it yet..." she said feeling tears grow in her eyes
"Pass the bridge or...pass the fact that Kenzaki...is gone..."
"Both..." she said as a tear left her eye
"It was nice talking to you...but I have to go..." she said with a bow before quickly walking away
"Y/N..." he said reaching his hand out
"After so much time..She still remembers..." he said as he leaned against the large brick railing. He continued to walk before stopping infront of a small square-like stone. He lifted the stone before removing a wooden board that layed beneath the stone. He pulled a small box from the whole. As he opened it a picture was first seen. Children stood hugging one another with much care. He sat on the cold grass slowly. He then removed a small note from the box carefully. He read the note aloud before ripping it into shreds and putting the box back into the cold dry ground. Then putting the wooden board above and finally the small stone. As he placed the stone down, small black writing was seen.
"...Kenzaki...." he said as he gripped onto the stone
"She always had hope Kenzaki..." he said before standing
He then walked away from the stone that wrote "Hope"
...🖤...
Tears that won't freeze in the cold weather
Tears that held much regret, won't go back to a very long beginning
Tears that wanted to tell a story but hesitated in doing so
Maybe everything could change...In this Winter story...
