"Chen...Please...Tell me what it says" said Y/N as tears began to form in her eyes
"Don't let Kun hit Y/N anymore...He hurts her because of Hotaru-" he said suddenly stopping at the last part
"Please...Don't tell anyone"
"Alright, I won't but...If he lays a finger on you forcefully...I won't let it pass"
"Okay..." she said clenching onto the boy's coat
As she pulled back she realized a figure watching the two
"Cover your face," she said quietly
"Wh-"
"Just listen to me," she said before reaching for his wrist and pulling him across the street
As they crossed the street Y/N suddenly began running with Jiang Chen's wrist in her small hand. The boy looked at the girl in happiness and confusion. Suddenly he saw a glimpse of color on the girl's red coat. He widened his eyes in surprise. He then looked up at the sky seeing a light blue almost white sky. As he then turned to the ground, he saw small pieces of green grass. He then looked at the girl once more before realizing the colors in his eyes began to turn into grey. He began to frown as the colors began to wash away and turn into grey, black, and white.
"No..." he said quietly as a tear fell down his brown eyes
"You okay?" asked Y/N as she let go of the boy's wrist
"Ye-yeah," he said with a small smile
"Let's go," she said as she continued to walk
"Why did we run?"
"Because...I saw someone"
"Who?"
"Someone...Who I'd rather not mention"
"Oh okay," he said as he brushed his hand over his cheek
"I saw color," he thought
"I want to see it again..." he thought as he smiled
"Y/N..."
"Hmm?"
"What's the color of you're coat?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I can't figure it out"
"Oh, I guess you can say it's cherry red"
"Mm"
"Do you like colors?" she asked with a smile
"You can say that"
"You remind me of a friend I had"
"Who?"
"I tried teaching him the colors of the rainbow since he's monochrome"
"Wha- what's his name?' he asked nervously
"I don't really remember but I promised him he'd be able to see color again"
"Mm- W-where is he now?"
"Not sure actually...But soon I'll find him and I'll make sure to help him see color...Even if it's for a second"
"You already helped me," he said quietly with a chuckle
"What was that?" she said turning to him confusingly
"Uh- nothing...I wish you luck"
"I'm going to need it"
