i'm so happy, my parents are finally allowing me to stay the night at my girlfriends house!
we have been dating for nearly nine months now, and i guess technically i have stayed the night at her house, but her friends were also there.
i'm sitting in the car with my mom, singing along to sunflower vl. 6 by harry styles, a song that she had put on a playlist she made for me just before we started dating.
"so," my mom turned down the music starting to speak, "just be safe okay."
"mom oh my god, nothing like that is gonna happen." i replied, knowing she was going to say something like this.
"right, mhm sure. y'know i remember when me and your dad-"
"OKAY THAT ENOUGH IM TURNING THE MUSIC BACK ON." she chuckled as we both started to sing along, the song ending just as we arrived at her house.
i thank my mom for driving me and go to the door, i can see out of the corner of my eye my moms car still parked by the house, presumably waiting for me to go inside.
i knock, and wait for an answer, to my surprise the door flings open rather quickly, i see my girlfriends younger sister opened the door.
"mel, ur girlfriends here," she shouts into the hallway, "so how have you been?"
"actually very well thank you for asking." i answered quietly while take off my docs.
"hey sunshine"
i look up and see my girlfriend melody, she's perfect in every way.

"hey, do you wanna go look at stars maybe?" i hear melody say.
"oh my gosh yes of course!" i respond, i've been waiting to watch stars with her for so long. Over quarantine we had made plans for once we could actually do it.
"Uhm, it's cold outside so, take this." she says as she throws one of her hoodies in my direction.
"thank you mel, couldn't be anymore awkward about it huh?" i tease
"oh shush."

She lays a blanket down in her backyard, we both lay down and start to stare at the stars, i get lost for a while. Once i come back to earth, i look over at mel to see her staring at me. My cheeks immediately turn red, embarrassed i didn't realize her looking at me. She begins to lean in, i follow, finally our lips touch. It was perfect, the stars dancing while our lips do the same.
We break apart i hear her mumbling something,
"what did you say?"
"i said i love you." she finally says clearly.
"i love you too."

i'm honestly not too sure how i feel about this one, but i haven't posted in like a month, i'm sorry about that, school has been really annoying. Expect more cause this week i'm finishing up my hard classes, so i'll have a more free schedule!! Remember to eat and drink water <3
