opening the door i was swarmed by the comforting scent of lavender and vanilla, a warm greeting after the last few stressful days i've had at work, she really does know how to make me feel at peace.
"oh! sunshine you're finally home, come on follow me!!" i watch my girlfriend jen eagerly skip towards the washroom, that's odd, i thought to myself. Regardless, i followed her jittery movements.
"ta-duh," she spoke as she presented me with a bubble bath surrounded with freshly lit lavender candles and two wine glasses sitting on the bathtub edge.
"jenny you did not have to do this."i say, still shocked she put so much time into doing this for me.
"don't be silly now get in, i'll be right back!"
i strip down and step into the perfectly tempered water, jen really does know how to make someone feel better.
"okay so,i know work has been a lot for you recently soooo, i also got you this !!" i hear jen say while placing a black box in my hand, then also stepping into the bath.
"well, open it!!" she squeals out.
i carefully open the lid to the black box she had placed in my hands, the box held a gold necklace with a small heart pendant on it.
"oh my god, jenny i love it!" i told her, she looked so happy with herself "thank you so much really."
"of course, i love you sunshine." she replied, god i love this girl so much.
