Thea ParkerThe stark smell of bleach was overwhelming. I scrunched my eyes at the bright light that was seeping through my closed eyelids. I felt powerless and heavy. I could not move my hand, my head or my body.
I slowly started blinking, desperately trying to open my eyes and see what's around me. Where am I? As the blinding light slowly subsided I could take a look around my surroundings. I was at a sort of clinic.
The room was pristine clean and gloomy. Typical hospital bed, IV and monitors beeping. The walls were a sickly green color and the linens were grayish. The place looked nothing like a room where a patient should be motivated to get better. If anything the murky room was making me even more nauseous.
I could not remember how I got here but I knew for sure that I wanted out as soon as possible. Preferably right now. I pulled on the IV line and felt a sharp pain.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A deep voice says from the corner. I jump slightly in surprise.
A man that I have never seen before emerges from the dark and in front of me. His hair was a messy brown and his eyes were a sea green.
"W-Who are you?" I ask timidly.
"Someone who's not going to hurt you." He smirks.
"T-That's n-not a-answering m-my question." I stutter.
"Just relax." He takes another step towards the bed.
"S-Stay back!" I say, backing up against the headboard.
"Hey, hey, take it easy there love." His eyes grow concern.
"Y-You're j-just l-like t-those m-men w-who broke i-into my apartment." I whisper.
"No love just listen." He tries to reach out to me and that's when I lost it.
"No! Don't touch me!" I yell jumping off the bed not even caring about the wires that were attached to me. I run over to the door and start to pound on it repeatedly.
"HELP! SOMEBODY! HELP ME!" I scream from the top of my lungs.
"Thea stop!" The man yells, grabbing me by my waist.
How did he know my name?
"Let go of me!" I push him back and run over to the corner where I slid down the wall and brought my knees to my chest.
He looks at me with a look of sadness and worry. I just stare at him in fear of what he was going to do next.
We both jumped when a tall figured entered the room, immediately I covered my face to protect myself.
"What the hell is going on in here?" A familiar voice says.
"I didn't do anything! She just woke up and started to freak out!" The man said in defense.
I hear the other guy sigh before the door shut. Hearing the sound of footsteps come near me I brace myself.
"Baby?" My head shoots up at the sound of his voice.
"H-Harry?" I ask as my eyes connected with his green ones.
"It's me darling." He gives me a small smile.
I gasp before jumping into his arms and clinging onto him tightly.
"H-Harry." I say again as I couldn't process anything else.
"I'm right here baby, you're okay now." He places a kiss on my forehead.
"W-Where am I? W-Why are you here?" I pull away.
