She felt under pressure.
A supreme pressure that was slowing down her breath.
The confinement of the car was enough to put pressure on her already grated nerves.
Little did she know she was in the presence of a supreme being.
The only source of calm for her was the soft breeze coming in the car, his side of window all the way down.
As the car moved smoothly on the dark road like a snake, she tried to take a look at the tall rigid frame .
Tried to peek at him from within the strands of her hair , the cracks allowing her to take a look. .and now that she was slowly but surely gaining back her senses she could see how he looked like.
He seemed to be 25 .
Three years older than her. Spine straight, one large hand on the steering wheel and the other laying on his thigh. She couldn't help but notice the royal blue band on his ring finger that glinted every time it caught light. The jet black hair pulled back in waves bringing out his sharp jawline , the deep blue eyes that could cut through skin, aristocratic narrow nose . .sinful lips.
All she could think was . .enchanting. His . .aura was enchanting. Disarming. Making everyone breathless . The kind of beauty that hits in your face . .she couldn't stare at him for too long. She had seen the looks of envy . .of admiration. .even desire that were cast his way at the club . She was scared , afraid she might lose herself right in his features.
All he had on was a black short sleeves and jeans , his jacket on her. Keeping her warm, wrapped in his woodsy scent.
He pushed his hand in his hair, messing it up and then he tucked his elbow on the windshield. .his hand touching his lips as he bit the back of his finger as if in an unseen inner battle .
"Is something wrong?" He asked , not looking at her.
Shocked and definitely embarrassed, she dropped her gaze from his face.
"N-no." She stammered , her heart on fire for being caught red handed.
How the hell did he know she was looking at him? She wasn't even looking. She was peeking!
He let out a deep breath , the soft wind fluttering in the car.
"You sure?"
She nodded. "Positive."
He turned the steering wheel smoothly, turning the car around.
"Right. " And then. ." Back there did something happen?"
And. . .
She knew.
She knew what he was implying at. She knew what he wanted to know.
Whether she got raped or not.
Did he succeed or not?
Her answer was abrupt.
"No. .no nothing happened." She answered , glad her voice was steady.
May be she imagined it, may be she really was out of her head because his grip on the wheel tightened. The veins on the back of his hand making appearance .
She looked out the windshield not wanting him to see how her eyes had sheened all over. . getting flashbacks of what happened. .what nearly happened. .
"I see. How did it happen? " Again his question was invasive and again she found herself answering him.
"It—i. .I was there for my friend's birthday . I-i came only to wish her and then. .," She bit her lower lip hard . .a slight tremor in her voice." I went to the bathroom. I didn't know which way to go . . that's—thats when. ." She trailed off not feeling like she could continue.
