Her tiny kitchen seemed like heaven.

With him standing in it. .kitchen seemed liked a getaway to heaven.

He was leaning against the marble shelf , a dark brown T-shirt that emphasised his broad shoulders. .he was dressed so casually and yet it made him look extraordinary. His presence was enough to light up any room. Sarah , who was standing opposite him was too leaning against the shelf . .daring herself not to check out herself and her horrific PJs.

With every passing day, she was getting less and less unsure about herself around him.

Next to this beautiful creature , she felt small.

But slowly and gradually she was stepping out of her cocoon.

"I like this. " He said staring at her intensely.

"What? Kitchen?" She tried to joke . She knew what he meant.

Damien smiled. " You in front of me. "

"About that," Sarah tucked away a strand of her hair ," I have a question—no. .I want to know. What's happening. . between us?" She asked hesitantly.

Damien crossed his arms .

"What do you think?"

Her question backfired on her.

The heat creeping on her face . Now she wondered if she asked the right thing?

She tried to open her mouth and say something but really she didn't know how. How to put her feelings in right words? Should she call them a couple? Or was it too soon for him? Or was it something casual for him?

"You don't have any answer. I see. " He observed, mirth in his voice.

She didn't say anything but her blush did.

Really it was going out of control.

"What is happening between us is. . everything and nothing at once. " He said softly.

And all she heard was one word. . nothing.

The punch to her heart was so palpable that her brown eyes lifted to his face , the hurt in them showing itself at once. She had never been good at hiding anyways.

Seeing her eyes crack, he moved in an instant. She thought she heard him say "Shit no. ." Closing in on her. His body towering over her, his hands on either sides of her on the shelf. . capturing her.

"Look at me."

She didn't.

More like didn't want to.

Damien bent down and tucked his forehead against hers, her eyes downcast. . a slight tremble in her body giving away her nerves.

"When I say everything. .it means everything. When I say nothing. .it only means I don't want to rush you. I'm afraid I'll ruin it for you. I can—i want to rush everything , Sarah. I want to get you in every sense of the word. The soul,  the body, the mind. .the thoughts. Everything in you should have my imprint. Tell me now, are you ready for it? Do you want me to rush ? Do you want all at once?"

A strange  chill went up and down her spine . .just the thought of everything at once was enough to make her look at him.

"No. ."

"No? So you don't want me?"

She jarred at his slightly hurt tone and open her mouth to protest—but he laughed out loud. . pulling her close to his chest. His chest rumbling under her.
