Chapter 10

Recap: Izzy saw Meg checking out the girl who was helping them at Waffle House... Maddie so Izzy left the table for them to get to know each other

I feel like shit. Should I call Isaac to pick me up? Or maybe wait for Meg and Maddie to drop me off before they have sex.

Why did I do that? I like Meg and we're not even dating, so why did I get so upset?

 Reasons why. 1) my mom doesn't like me being gay. 2) Isaac is going to have a baby and I'm worried he won't come and see me anymore. And 3) I don't know if I can get close to Meg, so I have to push her away.

Meg talks to Maddie and fucking laughs till our food gets to the table. Meg gets up, with our food, and sits down.

"I'm so hungry." She said.

"I have to go to the restroom" I get up and walk down the short hallway towards the bathroom.

I get in a stall and start to cry. I wish I had something to hurt myself with, to numb the pain.

I hear the bathroom door open and I stop crying.

"Izzy?" I wish I could act like I wasn't here, just disappear.

"Um, yeah?" I said, sounding weak.

"Come out of there or I will come in." I wish she was a guy because then she couldn't follow me.

I sit up and wipe my tears away, I take a deep breath and unlock the door.

Meg is looking at herself in the small mirror, she sees me and turns around.

"Are you okay?"

I nod. My throat feel likes it closing up.

"I'm sorry if I made you mad or upset in anyway." Meg said.

"It wasn't you. I shouldn't have done what I did in there." I wave my hand towards the dinning room. "I'm just not doing okay, this night sucks."

Meg nods as if she understand. "Your mom will come around, and till then I'm here if you need someone to talk to."

"Isaac is having a baby and won't come see me." I start to cry, again.

"I even know that's not true." I feel my phone starts to vibrate. I look and see its Isaac.

Meg looks over my shoulder. "See?" She said.

I bring the phone to my ear. "Hello?"

"How is it going?" I hear the wind and I just know he's outside. Getting away from the parents.

"Okay." I tell him.

"Did she try to have sex with you?" He whispered. I know he can hear I've been crying but doesn't say shit.

"No!" I said. "Just a lot of shit happened and I'm just worried."

"About?"

"Stupid shit," I tell him. "But Meg helped figure it all out." I look at her in the mirror and give her my biggest smile.

"One gold star for her." He said. 

"Yeah."

"I guess I will let you get back to your date.

"Okay, bye...I love you."

"Aww, I love you too Izzy." Isaac hung up first.

We eat our food and talked about our worries and our family. Meg has a dad who doesn't work and her mom is a realtor . I tell her funny stories about Anna and Isaac when it starts getting silence.
