[1] Ice cream and runaway boys

Liza's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. It was my alarm, I quickly set it off and get up. I changed from my blue and white spotted pajamas , into a plain green t-shirt and some Jeggins. I put on my black vans and walk downstairs. It was already around 12 a.m when I woke up. (Hey, it was in the middle if my 4months summer vacation. You don't expect me to be up that early) As soon I reached downstairs I could already smell the wonderful smell of bacon and eggs. I quickly rushed to the kitchen and was greeted by my mom.

"Morning Liz." she greeted.

"Morning mom." I said greeted and sat down on chair.

"Where you off to today?" she asks while putting some bacon and eggs on my plate.

"Umm.. I think I'm going to go over Nicole's house later." I say.

"Okay. Just don't forget to bring your phone. And call me when you want me to pick you up." she says and I nod.

I quickly finished breakfast and went back upstairs to my room. I then took my phone and sent a text to Nicole, my best friend.

TO: Nic-nic

HEY! Mind if I go to your house?

A few minutes later she replied.

FROM: Nic-nic

YEAH, but how about the park instead? A change if venue. Its getting quite boring here. I'll meet you in 10.

Change of venue, hmmm... Okay, I needed to get out anyways. I took my shoulder bag and put my phone in it.

I went downstairs and quickly said goodbye to my mom.

As I went outside I was blinded by the sunlight. Why did I have to live in Australia of all places?

Oh, wait did I forget to mention that? Yeah I did, anyway. I live in Australia in Sydney. I am currently in college, second year. I'm turning 19 in a couple of months. And well my dad he died just 2 years ago and well I don't like to talk about him just much so......

Yeah, that's all you need to know about me.

Anyways as I walked into the gates of the park and saw an ice cream stand and bought one ice cream sundae. I then started walking to the place where me and Nicole usually meet. A few minutes pass by and I see her. I wave over to her so she can see me. And when she sees me I run towards her.

Then while I was running a guy only a little taller than me bumped in to me, and sure then I fell. I looked down to see my ice cream all over my t-shirt. I stand up and see the guy running farther away.

"Hey!" I call out to the guy and gave him a seriously annoyed face.

He just glanced behind and continued running away.

" great, just great!" I shout.

I look back to my shirt it was still stained. I see Nicole and walk over to her and just hope she can Crack a joke funny enough to take this pissed emotion away.

I look at the caramel haired girl and slowly walked toward her and tapped her shoulder. She must have been suprised because she yelped in suprise and turned around.

Just to think my day couldn't be much worse. She too was holding an ice cream and guess what! She plunged it into my face.

That's it I thought. I am never ever going to eat a single cone or cup of ice cream ever! No, that would be cruel, made just for a few days.

"I'm sorry Liz, so sorry." squeked Nicole and handed me a handkerchief.

"It's okay, I'm just having a bad day." I say and wipe the ice cream of my face.

"Why would that be?" she asks. She has a very deep vocabulary.

"I'll explain later can we sit down? I need to catch a breath." I excuse.

" Yeah sure." she says and we walk over to a bench nearby.

I soon as we sat down she started firing questions that luckily I picked up with. So I ended up telling her what happened.

"Well I see you have had a long day. Why don't we just head back to yours and watch some movies?" she said.

"Okay." I simply reply.

So we went back to my place and watched some movies. It was nearly dinner time when we ended our movie marathon. This only happened because we could smell food from the kitchen. Mom had a day off so she was able to cook dinner. When we had finished dinner (including Nicole because mom insisted) Nic was called to go home. Her house was a bit far from here so mom drove her.

I stayed and changed back to my pajamas and slipped into bed. Putting the thought of the boy to very back of my mind and went to sleep.
