Aether x Zhongli

   Zhongli POV

      I was working my normal shift at the salesman when I hear footsteps come upon my counter.
"But Paimon wants to get something shiny!~" I hear a high voice whine.
"We're only here for a few jade crystals, nothing else" I hear another voice say.
I avert my gaze from the floor to look at the customers and see a blond braided boy next to a floating marshmallow. My whole face went red after seeing the magnificent boy infront of me. He was so gorgeous and had one of the best eyes I've ever seen in the years I've been Zhongli.
"H-hello, what would you like today?" I ask the two, "oh hello there! Can we please get four jade crystals" the boy says.
I go to the back of the shop looking for the right shelf when I hear the high voice whispering to the boy making me curious. I grab the jades and head back to the counter.
"That will be 400,000 mora" I say. The boys eyes go wide and the little floating one gasped.
"F-four thousand?" The boy says worried. The shocked expression on his face made me feel so guilty.
"S-sorry to bother you, we won't be getting those, thank y-you though!" He says and walks off before I could get a word out. His sad expression only made me want to hug the boy tight and never let go.
I have an idea!

I talked to one of my few friends, childe, into finding out where the boy lived so I could visit him. He said he lived at this apartment, he also said it was temporary since the boy seems to travel a lot.
I knock lightly on the door, soon after the door opens to the floating girl I once saw at the shop.
"Oh, hello! What brings you here?" She says, "I'm looking for your friend, the blonde one" I respond.
Her eyes go a little confused and then realized who I was talking about.
"Ooohhh~ i know who you mean. AETHER!!!" She yells, I got a little nervous since I'm gona finally see 'Aether' again.
I hear footsteps come to the front of the door and I see the blond boy in a crop top and shorts looking up at me a little shocked.
"Oh, hey, you were the guy at the shop the other day" he says, "indeed, I just wanted to give you these as a gift" I say, why am I so nervous?
I hand him the box and he opens it up to show the four jade crystals he couldn't afford the other day. His eyes light up and seem to go a little teary.
"I-is everything alright? Are they the wrong crystals?" I say, "n-no! T-there perfect..." he says wiping his tears, he looks up at me
"I just d-didnt expect someone t-to do this for m-me" he says still crying.
"I-is there anything I can do to pay you back?" He requests, "well, there's a lantern festival happening in three days, and I'd like you to go with me" I say.
The boys face goes a little red and nods, "o-of course! W-what time should I be there?" He asks, "don't worry, I'll pick you up" I say chuckling at his reaction.
"O-okay! I-I promise I'll be there, b-bye!" He says and quickly closes his door like he wanted to get out of that situation as fast as possible. Before I left down the stairs I heard the boy and his little friend talking.
"HAHAHA he totally likes you Aether!~", she yells, "P-PAIMON HUSH!" He whines.

Hehe, what a cute boy...
