Aether x Xiao

Aether POV

     "That Xiao guy really is mysterious, isn't he?" Paimon asked me.
"I'm sure he's just a little bad at socializing, plus he seems to be warming up to us!" I say back.
"Pffft yeah right, he doesn't like me at all, he's only comfortable with us cause YOUR here, it wouldn't be any different if Paimon wasn't there." she said.
"That's ridiculous, he wouldn't be less talkative cause your there" I said, "Whatever, Paimon was just saying cause he always looks at you in a... way" She pauses
Paimons eyes quickly lit up after the pause in her sentence, a gasp let out of her as she looked at me.
"What? Is something wrong?" I ask
"XIAOS TOTALLY CRUSHING ON YOU" she screams throughout all of Liyue.
I quickly cover her mouth as I saw multiple people giving us shocked looks and confused faces, this was the most embarrassing moment of my life.
"k-keep it down! Do you wanna embarrass us!?" I say to her still covering her mouth.
Paimon made some muffled noises trying to respond to me, I let my hands off of her mouth.
"Sorry, but i'm totally right! The way he looks and acts towards you is totally loving!" she says to me.
My face turned hot and began to feel like a volcano, i could barely think after hearing Paimons words. No way, he's just being friendly cause i'm someone he can get along with. No way, no way.

Suddenly, I heard a whoosh come from behind me, I saw green particles leading up to a man with a portal behind him. The same man we were just talking about.
Xiao looked very angry but also a little embarrassed, before I could talk Xiao quickly grabbed me and teleported us away.

"WOAH!" I let out as we landed on a wooden floor. From the looks of it I could already tell we were at the Wangshu Inn, Xiaos place where he hangs out.
I realized how tight Xiao was holding my waist as we left the teleportation phase of our tiny trip. I looked over at him and saw how red his face had gotten, I wonder why...
"X-xiao? Is everything alright?" I ask him.
Xiao didn't answer me but proceeded up the stairs to the balcony of the Inn, letting go of my waist.
"U-uh... okay..." I say as I follow him up the stairs. Once we got to the top I saw the beautiful night view of Liyue, all its mountains and lakes really made it feel safe.
I looked over at Xiao and saw his eyes go amazed by the view as well, I cant blame him, it is beautiful.
"Aether..." I heard quietly
Xiao said my name, but it was very faint and seemed like it was hard for him to let out.
"Yeah Xiao?" I ask. He took a long and steady breath before letting out his sentence.
"What did you think... when you heard about what Paimon said about me..." He asked.
Oh, so that's why he brought me here.
I thought for a moment before responding to the boy.
"Well, I was honestly quite flattered at the thought of such a cool adeptus to be crushing on me, but part of me knew you would never have feelings like that for me" I say.
I heard a scoff come from Xiaos voice as he looked down to the ground.
"D-did I say something wrong?" I ask him.
"I've... never been good with words but, I can say that... your wrong." he says to me. What does he mean? I'm wrong? He's being very confusing right now.
"Aether, ever since i've met you i've felt... different, in a way I have never felt with anybody else" He says.
I could feel my heart starting to beat out of my. hear as my face got hotter and hotter, could what Paimon have said be true? But why?
"Forget what I said... this was stupid" He says quickly turning around. I could see by the particles he was about to teleport away, no! He can't go!
I quickly grabbed him from behind and we both fell backwards onto the wood flooring.
"O-ouch" I whined. Xiao quickly turned over and came close to my face.
"Are you okay!? I didn't hurt you, did I!?" He let out loudly, he sounded so concerned.
"I'm better now that your worried about me..."
I say before pulling the boy into a kiss.
I could feel Xiao hesitate at the action but quickly proceed into it. 'He's a good kisser' I thought. I could feel his warm face against mine as we continued kissing.
I pulled away to get a look at the boys face. His eyes were wide open and his face looked like a strawberry, I couldn't help but giggle.
"W-what? Is there something wrong?" He asked, "Haha, no no, i'm just happy to finally express my feelings for you..." I said. Somehow his eyes got wider and leaned in for another kiss.
