Chloé POV
___________

For the first time in my time in Hogwarts, I didn't want to wake up.

I didn't want to because everything seems so wrong these days. Draco is still laying and healing in his bed, wounded. The classes seem more and more boring every day, the sky is grey and rainy.

It's March, spring, I should be out on a walk with Draco or Luna, we should be happy and sad that the semester is almost over, I should wander around the castle with Fred and George. Nothing is right. This is not what I wanted when I came to Hogwarts.

I wish I could take back the time. But wouldn't things be the same? I'd still be the only Beauxbaton student here, the Dark Lord would still want to use me, no one else. The only thing I could possibly do is to stay in France and never some here, but then I'd never meet Draco. And that would be a sad, miserable hole in my life, never filled.

With every alternative, my life would still be like this. So I should stop worrying already and understand there's no way out of this. I have to do it and then, maybe, I can be with Draco like a real couple.

I stood up from the bed and made a few steps over to my desk. Snape told me to write to my parents and inform them about what I'm gonna do. I don't know how they'll take it, but I have to warn them. Although our house is far from Beauxbatons school, I don't know his plans. I don't want to put them in danger.

Mother,
I'm writing to warn you and father about my future actions. I think you know what I'm talking about. Before you try to stop me, there are too many lives at risk, much more than just me. I have to do it and since I don't know the Dark Lord's plans, you should come to Hogwarts, where you'll be safe. Please come as soon as you can.

Then I gave the letter to my owl and she flew away with it.

It's finally Friday and I have only three classes today. I was a bit late for Charms, but I managed to come in silence and thank God, no one noticed. Then I had Potions, for which I was too early because I wanted to catch professor Snape, but he sent a younger student to tell us to go to class and wait for him there. I couldn't talk to him in front of other students, and after the class he stormed away so quick that I didn't catch him. Whatever. My last class was Herbology, one of my least favorites.

I'm glad I had Herbology though, I finally had the chance to walk in the fresh air. These past few days, I've been so busy with everything going on that I didn't even step my foot out of the castle.

As I was walking by the greenhouses, I saw someone familiar in front of me. I couldn't see who it is, though. I should really get some contact lenses, it can't go like this forever.

As the figure moved closer to me, I noticed he's wearing Hufflepuff habit and his hair is messy as always. It's Cedric.

"Hi!" I waved my hand and smile at him as he walked to me.

He said hi back and I asked him what's he doing here, but apparently, I didn't have to.

"Oh, I think I know." I giggled.

Cedric looks different. His face that usually had a nice glow with smile is now dull and I swear I saw a few wrinkles, too. Oh my god, what could happen to him?

"Have you used the one I gave you?" He asked me about my joint.

"No, I didn't have time..." and I won't have.
