When Rehema had left after having lunch with him that afternoon, Sang-chul couldn't help but feel his stomach do flips. It was his first official sitting down with the empress since she had got here. He mostly felt relieved since now he can officially say he was not forgotten.
Before she left, she kissed him on the cheek and held his hand promising she will be back soon. Sang-chul couldn't help but smile like a little boy at school. He laid on his bed staring at the bed curtain hanging in front of him.
Addo and Kukua were cleaning up the table after he had lunch with the empress. Addo couldn't help but smile at his master who was in a much better mood just from having lunch than he had been for weeks. It was nice seeing that he was adjusting to his lifestyle in his house more, and in the African lands more.
"Is that the face of a man in love," Addo asked Sang-chul after he finished clearing up the table, and entered the bedroom area of House Pearbow
Sang-chul couldn't help but blush. "Addo!" He yelled embarrassed and sat up from his bed.
Addo chuckled, "No need to be shy your majesty, I'm on your side to win her majesty's favoritism."
Sang-chul smiled and played with his hands, "Yes. I guess I am falling in love."
"Well, she is a beauty, your lucky to be one of her husbands," Addo went over to brooming Sang-chul bedroom. "You will definitely check on to be one of her favorites, and she will shower you with gifts, and maybe one day even a child." Addo winked.
Sang-chul grinned harder, "Are you ever thinking of getting married Addo?"
Addo paused, "I don't know. I'm still quite young but maybe down the line yes."
"Have you ever been in love?" Sang-chul asked.
Addo smiled, "Yes. It gets to the best of us and can sometimes hurt like hell."
Sang-chul was quiet for a moment. He stared out in space before talking again. "Addo if you ever like her majesty, I give you permission to confess your feelings to her. I'm not like one of those concubines who even gets jealous of their own servants."
Addo's eyes widened in horror, and he bent down in one knee quickly, "Sir I would never steal favoritism from you. I dare never to go behind your back and –"
Sang-chul chuckled, "Nonsense. Us sharing the same love doesn't mean you have gone behind my back, for god's sake I'm one of a dozen husbands."
Addo was shocked by his master's words, but he nodded, slowly standing up, "I don't deserve such kindness and compassion."
Sang-chul took Addo's hand softly and looked in his eyes, "I have a family here now, and I will do anything to protect us and make this a happy house to live and work in."
Addo nodded and place his other hand gently on top of Sang-chul's. For the first time, he was serving someone who appreciated him and saw him for who he was. There was no way he going to let any scheming concubine not even Omari, hurt this boy.

Omari felt irritated. The past seven days his instincts have been acting up. Waiting and waiting desperately at this point for a visit from Rehema. He had his one night with Rehema that night when she came so late for dinner. But he hadn't heard back since, and it has been eating him up inside. He just desperately wanted to know if there was any way possible, she got pregnant. It was about time some other man in the harem would have become a father other than Chike.
