just when she thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. of course they did. they always did.
max woke up after three hours of off and on sleep to a pounding headache. "perfect," she muttered, climbing slowly out of bed. her dog, thor, perked his head up and followed her.
max could barely keep her eyes open as they adjusted to the lights in the kitchen. she rubbed the sleep out of them and opened the fridge door. but, as soon as she did, max heard her phone ring.
she groaned and shut the door, trudging back into her room to grab it. she answered a call from rae. "hey," she mumbled.
"did i wake you?" rae asked.
"no, no you're good. i've been up for a few minutes."
"did you at least get some sleep last night?" she asked, though she already knew the answer.
"on again, off again," max answered.
"max, you've got to see someone about that," rae said, clearly worried about her friend.
"i have, rae. i dont wanna go on meds like some fucking addict."
rae sighed. there was no convincing max. "okay. well, we're streaming later if you want to join."
a small smile crept onto her lips. "yeah, i'd love that. whose gonna be there?"
"so far me, felix, sean, toast, sykkuno, lily, pokki, james, and corpse."
"corpse?" she asked. "who the hell is corpse?"
rae dramatically gasped. "you dont know who corpse is? god, i feel sorry for you. get set up, were starting in ten."
"k, talk later?"
"always."
max sat there for a second. corpse. the name ran in her mind a few times. must be one hella scary dude. she shrugged and turned on her pc in her studio before going to make herself some breakfast.
