max stared down at the jars of change that sat in her laundry room. each one held at least a thousand dollars in coins, and each time she got cash back in coins it went straight into a jar. it was crazy- she didn't fill up a single other jar yet in her hands was the equivalent to two of them.

even though corpse had fallen asleep some time before midnight, she couldn't sleep. she could barely close her eyes. so max got up much earlier than normal and took a shower that she needed. she was so giddy that she skipped out of the house, driving to a little coffee shop in town. max decided to treat herself. she thought for a second then called corpse.

call started 09:23

hello?

jeez, your voice gets deeper?

*he laughed and max died* what's up? it's early

do you want any coffee?

coffee? uh, yeah, sure. why?

because i'm in a good mood and i can drop it off before i go back home.

okay, okay, i'll text you what i'd like. thanks, max.

no problem, corpsie.

call ended 09:35

"here you go, good sir," max said as corpse opened the door. her eyes widened when she saw he wasn't wearing a mask and immediately looked away, shoving the coffee in his direction.

corpse laughed at her reaction. "do i look that bad?"

she finally looked back when he took the coffee and wasn't having a panic attack. "no, not at all. you just surprised me."

"thanks for the coffee."

"you're welcome. now, i have videos to edit, so i'll see you later, deep voice daddy."
