I was never afraid of the truth.
I welcomed it.
Until now.
What is in that envelope?
The envelope sits harmlessly in the palms of my hands, waiting.
I sigh, shoving it back into its hiding spot. I close the floorboard again with a soft crack, placing the rug over it again. I don't want Mr Aizawa to know I have it.
The large black bag sits open on the edge of my bed. Clothes litter the floor along with weapons and toiletries, awaiting their fate as the chosen ones.
What do you even pack for a school camp anyway? I muse, stalking along the piles of items, thinking long and hard.
Swimmers. Toothpaste & brush, hairbrush, clothes. Switchblade, first aid kit. Soap, towel, spare pair of shoes. Sleeping bag-
"Shit." Of fucking course Aizawa has the sleeping bags under lock and key.
Practically forcing me to talk to him.
Great. So Excited.
Maybe I just won't go.
"Kiddo."
"Y/N," I correct, turning to see Mr Aizawa at the doorway with my sleeping bag.
"You need this?" He asks, bemused. I stalk up to him and snatch it from his grasp.
"Thank you." I reply curtly, wishing he would leave me alone.
"We leave at 7." He calls from the hallway, and I slam the door of my room in response.Morning rolls around quickly, after a restless night of sleep. Trying to muffle your screams as your mind traps you in the past becomes tiring, so I eventually give up on sleeping. Echo yawns cutely, snuggling deeper into my hoodie, purring happily. Apparently Aizawa pissed her off too, so she snuck into my room around 1am, curling into my lap and sleeping ever since.
"I wish I could bring you along girlie," I hum at her, "But I doubt it's allowed." She looks into my eyes cheekily, before mewing in response. I giggle, scooping her onto my shoulders, her new favourite place to perch.
I through on some jeans with my hoodie, lacing my boots while Echo paws at my hair playfully.
I grab my bag and place Echo on the floor, opening my door quietly and creaking downstairs, a clambering ball of fur and claws behind me.
I step into the garage and see Aizawa already sitting in the car, lights on. I open the backseat and shove my bag in, letting Echo leap into the car before closing the door behind myself.
"Good Morning." Aizawa states, a questioning tone to his gruff voice.
"Sure." I say, shoving my earphones into my ears and blasting music.
Rät - Penelope Scott..?
The car ride is short, we get to school quickly, spying the bus and various classmates around, saying tearful goodbyes and shoving large bags into the bus.
Echo, who has been nibbling on my hair for the past five minutes, shoots like lightning from the car when the doors are opened. I watch as she scuttles into a bush, probably to attack a bird or chase a stray leaf.
"Y/N!" Uraraka cheers, standing next to a sleepy Mina, "Good Morning!" I reply, too tired to put a cheerful tone in my response.
The bus groaned as we all boarded, and I spy three available seats.
One beside to Todo.
The next with Katsuki.
The last with Deku.
"Find a Seat and be Quiet!" Aizawa barked orders at the students, and I fall into the seat beside Deku.
Well, onto him.
He was sitting in the aisle seat, so naturally, I fell onto him instead of into the window seat."Um." I explain, scrambling off his muscular chest, Deku blushing hard.
"It's ok." He says quietly, helping me buckle the seatbelt. We both sit in an awkward silence before talking about the camp, hours passing like minutes, friendship returning with every shared word.
The tinted windows of the bus became blurrier as I yawned, the countless night of restless tossing and muffled screaming had taken its toll. I debated teleporting to my comfortable bed, it would be hours before Aizawa could scold me.
I could catch up on some sleep...
The bus pulls over to a rest stop overlooking a beautiful forest below the mountain peak.
My class, however, doesn't appreciate the view as much as they appreciate a stretch of legs.
"Y/N, you don't happen to have any paracetamol?" Shoji calls over, stretching his purpling limbs. I shake my head and mouth an apology, he manages a weak smile before turning away.
That looks painful.
You see, even though 40% of quirks are physical or have physical attributes, public transport, hired or otherwise, still don't have modifications for those who cannot fit into a generic bus seat.
The World is shit.
People are shit.
"You alright?" grumbles Bakugou, red eyes boring into mine apprehensively.
He didn't like how I sat with Deku.
The way Shouto's looking at me tells me the same story...
"I had amends to make." I smile cheerfully, sudden serotonin bleeding into my soul. "But I feel great now!" I beam towards Bakugou - who is apparently overtaken by weariness with my sudden change of mood.
"Are you sure you're feelin' right?" He presses the back of his hand on my forehead. "You don't feel warm.."
"What's wrong with Y/N?" Shouto appears behind me, searching me for illness or injury.
"Y/N," I pause for dramatic purposes, "Is fabulous." I grin at the boys playfully, grabbing their shoulders and turning them to the gorgeous view. "But look at this sick view." They groan at my stupid joke, but enjoy the scenery.
Until the ball drops.
Classic Mr Aizawa."Meet you back at camp - blah - nightfall - blah blah blah." I wasn't listening.
Clearly.
As the bus sped off, we were thrown off a cliff, and the classmates of 1A muttered amongst themselves - I had a genius idea.
Let's just teleport home...?
Or to camp atleast.
"Ahem. Guys?" I clear my throat and stand on a rock to gain a height advantage. "Hello!?" Twenty or so heads turn to stare into my depressing excuse of a face.
"I have an idea" I announce, "But it's not a very smart one."
"What's new?" Miners smirks, before Katsuki round-house kicks him in the gut. While Mineta squirms in discomfort , I explain my idea of teleporting all of us to camp.
The class is impressed.
Slightly quizzical, but impressed.
"What if it doesn't work?" Ochaco stresses, "Will I end up in another country!?" She panics, hands flapping like a demented flamingo at her sides.
"Chill." Shouto rolls his eyes.
Glad SOMEONE has faith in me.
I focus on tearing apart the smooth fabric of space and time, listening to the chanting and the soon screams of my classmates.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING!?"
"Y/N!"
"Y/N, STOP!"
I look up to see my friends slowly falling across the treetops.
"HOLD ON!" I panic, trying to fix the error.
Too late.
The world goes crashing into darkness, and I'm out like a light.A/N... love y'all so much happy pride month! maybe some follows? 👉👈🥺
