After a few days for hard workouts and a few very cool cats stuck in trees, I had all but forgotten about school and my friends.
Until it was late at night, and I got the strangest text.
Izuku has shared his location.
That doesn't sound like Deku... I furrow my brows, concern growing in the pit of my stomach.
Maybe nothing is wrong.
I tap on the news app, hoping for nothing to be out of the ordinary.
Boy was I wrong.
A Nomu attack.
In the city Stain attacked.
The city where Iida is.
The location that Izuku texted.
Shit.
"Y/N Chan?" Thirteen calls from the kitchen.
"Yes Sensei?" I call bag, forming an escape plan.
"Be a dear and jump in the shower before dinner?" She calls and I yell back in agreement, grabbing my toiletries bag and tipping the contents onto the bed. I stuff my phone, portable charger, Swiss Army knife and wallet into the bag, grabbing my towel and smiling at Thirteen as I walk past her to the bathroom.
"Oh and Y/N, Dear" She looks up from her book fondly, "There is a situation downtown, try to stay away from all their drama."
"Will Do." I say, as I step into the bathroom.
Will not do.
I turn the shower knob, and as hot water steams the mirror and splashes against the tiles, I shimmy the small window open, hoping the noise is muffled from the shower.
I grab my phone and knife, shoving them in my pocket with my wallet.
Sorry Dad.
And I jump from the window.
Crash.
I land awkwardly on the bin, the tin lid clattering on the pavement beside me.
Uh oh.
I stumble around, finding my balance, when a door clicks.
"Y/N?"
I turn to the confused Hero, sending them a pleasing look before teleporting.
I'm sorry.
I open my eyes, a dizzy spell overtaking my senses, as I try to pull myself from the doorstep I've landed on.
"Y/N?"
"Shouto?" I gasp, turning to see the Canadian flag himself, gaping like a fish.
"Dek-"
"Yes." He responds curtly, holding his hand for me to take. "We should hurry." I grab his outstretched hand, wobbly pulling myself into a standing position.
We bolt down the alley, Shouto glancing at his phone very couple of seconds, getting closer to Izuku.
"IIDA!" We hear a familiar voice scream, causing us to pelt towards the noise at full speed, turning down an alley to a truly horrific sight.
The stench of blood and trash hits my nose with vigour, and I gag slightly before turning my attention to the scene. A bloodied man lies against a wall, chest rising and falling slowly.
Too slow.
Far too slow.
I shake my head.
Help the living, you can't save the dead, don't waste your time on the dying.
The voice goes as quickly as it arrived, and I nod at Shouto, who sends a giant spike of ice at the end of the alley, allowing me to slide down it and kick the ankles out of the villain.
Crunch.
"STUPID BITCH." He screams, saliva raining down on my shirt. I punch his stomach, and the 'Hero Killer' goes flying into a brick wall.
"Y/N-N?"
"Hey Zuku." I reply calmly. "Maybe an explanation would be nice next time."
"You really scared us." Us. The word slithers down my spine, sending waves of joy to my feet.
"None of you are heroes!" Stain shrieks, throwing a knife at my stomach, and I hold it using a gravity bubble, rebounding it into the senders hip.
"You're all liars! LYING TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS TOO YOU DISGRACEFUL-"
Shouto encases his feet in ice, and we attack in a complicated dance, weaving and throwing out best shots where possible. Fire, Ice and in my case, levitating trash and flying rocks.
I also figured out the blood quirk Stain has, so I rained down his own blood from a dark cloud, which made him powerless for a few moments, so Shouto could get some ice spikes in.
I'm so fricken creative.
I look over to Deku, to see if he sees how cool I am right now, but he is struggling to move.
Wrong choice, Bucko.
A knife whizzes past my neck, slicing a small cut on the left side before being caught by Stain.
I knew I was in deep shit when he licked the blade and I froze.
"Y/N! DUCK!"
I turn to see Deku leaping of a wall, screaming as his body glistens with power.
With a sickening crunch, his fist is met to Stains forehead, and Izu crash lands onto my unmovable body.
"AH" a hoarse voice screams, curling my blood and piercing my eardrums.
Who's screaming? It's you, idiot.
"Y/N,"
"Y/N!" A voice calls, and a hand is slapped across my
"Y/N!?"
"Dad!?" I stutter, seeing Zawa appear at the scene, stony faced.
Ah, shoot.
"What were you thinking!?" He snapped, grabbing my wrists and surveying my body for injuries. I snatch my wrists back and cradle them in my chest.
"Don't touch me!" I growl, "And don't act so surprised either." I defend myself.
"I was helping my friends."
"You could've died!" He yells angrily, "You disobeyed a Pro Hero, caused a scene, and overused yourself!" He glares at me and in spite, I sneer back the wittiest response I can think of.
"Well I won't come to you when I'm choking on my own blood later." I watch as the blood drains from his face, and I storm off to the train station.
"Y/N!"
"Leave me alone!" I snap, and turn around to see Izuku.
Not Aizawa.
"Uh, sorry Deku," I try to explain, before he interrupts.
"No-o it's o-k-k" He mumbles, looking down at his scuffed red shoes. "See you at school then."
"Wait Izuku-" I try to explain that I wasn't mad at him, but he turned around and sprinted into the night.
Crap.
A black sedan pulls up beside me, window rolling down to see my, no, Mr Aizawa, purposely ignoring me.
"Get in."
"Hmph." I slide into the backseat and slam the door shut.
This is going to be fun.
