I WILL HAVE YOU 6

There’s no clear shot of me being with Leo on the newspaper. Lahat ng mga pictures namin ay magkahiwalay ang shot but on the same location. Wala namang kakaiba sa mga litrato maliban sa caption niyon na tila sinasabing may lihim kaming relasyon at lihim kaming nagkikita.

Well, part of it was true. We really have something. The attraction between us was there but we never meet secretly like what those newspapers and magazines are implying.

I have no idea who did this so I turned to Leo. Hinila ko siya sa isang sulok para kausapin – more on, komprontahin. Because even though I want to have him for my own, I will not do some dirty tricks like this and I’m not this low to resort to forcing a man into a shotgun wedding.
I stared at Leo. He was not looking at me kaya lalo akong nainis sa sitwasyon.

“What? You can’t even look at me now? Pero kapag na sa malayo hindi mo naman inaalis ang tingin mo sa akin? You’re not really mad about this whole situation, aren’t you?”

“They’re preparing for the engagement, Eunice and you’re barely eighteen! Do I look happy? I don’t want to be branded as a cradle snatcher for Pete’s sake!” he said, almost shouting at me.

I stepped back and I saw how his facial expression changes from annoyance to confusion. His other hand extended towards me, probably to grab my arm, but I manage to dodge his touch.

If he’s not happy to be in this situation, ako rin naman!

“I’m sorry,” ani Leo at akmang lalapitan ako pero pinigilan ko siya. "I didn't mean to snapped at you."

“Are you blaming me on this? You think that’s my doing?” turo ko sa direksiyon ng mga magulang namin kung saan naroon ang iba’t ibang klaseng newspaper and magazine.

“No. I’m saying sorry for raising my voice at you.” He steps closer. “Look, Eunice, I don’t know who did that but because of that, my girlfriend will probably break up with me and I can't let that—"

"Wow!" I laughed after slapping him and I'm pretty sure our parents are looking at us right now. "As in wow, Leo! You've been looking at me from a far countless of times and now that a scandal broke out, you only care for your girlfriend?"

"Listen, Eunice. It's not what you think —"

"Then what?!" and damn! Bakit parang pang telenobela yata ang eksena namin? I'm even crying, for Pete sake!

But this tears are out of frustration. That's just it and nothing more.

"I can't marry you. Hindi rin ako papayag na maghiwalay kami because she's carrying my child! Damn it!" napasabunot pa si Leo sa sariling buhok.

"What child are you talking about, Leo?!" Leo's mother asked. Sa tabi nito ay ang parents ko.

My mom grabs my hand and pull me to her sides. "I don't think there's something more to talk about." ani Mommy. "My Eunice won't marry your son and that's final. I'll let the PR deptartment handle this issue about their stupid engagement what-so-ever." then she turned to Leo. "And you, don't even get near my daughter again."

With that, my mother drags me home. Walang nagsasalita mula sa sasakyan hanggang sa makarating kami ng bahay. I assume, my mother was really mad because dad kept his mouth shut too and that's the cue.

"Mom," I called and she halted, looking at me sideways.

"Forget about this. Get some rest. This day is a nightmare." ani mommy. My father, who is behind my mom nodded at me as if saying to do what my mother just said.

I did.

The following day, our company's PR department release a statement about me and Leo having no relationship at all and that our family are friends with the Madrigal — which is kinda true. The two family knew each other but not too close.

"You were only seventeen but you've created a lot of issues already." August said, ruffling my hair.

I glared at him. "Don't gulo my hair nga! At hindi ko pa nakakalimutan 'yung ginawa mo sa assignment ko, ha!?" sinikmuraan ko siya pero mahina lang naman at tinawanan lang niya habang hinihimas ang tiyan.

"Ang brutal naman." aniya pa at sinabayan na ako sa paglakad at ilang saglit pa ay kasabay na rin namin sila Gelo at Rhett.

"What's up?" Gelo said, handing me a bar of chocolate he used to eat. Hindi ko iyon pinansin kaya siya na lang din ang kumain habang nasa hallway kami papuntang room.

"Nothing much. My parents just ended the bond between me and Leo. As in, my mom forbid Leo to see me!" humarap ako sa kanilang tatlo. Class is almost starting kaya nagmamadali na ang lahat.

"We're gonna be late again." reklamo ni August sa mismong harapan ko.

"I still like Leo Madrigal, guys. He's so pogi right now though he's the biggest asshole I've ever met in my whole life!" I rant at them.

"Wow! My talab pa sa'yo ang mga guwapo? Hindi ka pa immune kahit araw-araw mo kaming kasama?" August butt in.

Gelo and Rhett drags me towards our room — as in literal na halos buhatin na nila ako dahil hawak nila ako sa magkabilang braso habang malalaki ang hakbang na naglalakad.

"Let's not talk about your asshole crush and go somewhere later." Rhett even winks at me.

"I would love to but I guess I'll pass this time." I smiled at them and saw their disappointment. Go-go girl lang kasi ako sa galaan and maybe, nagtataka sila ngayon.

I can't tell them that my mother is being mahigpit right now. Even my brothers have their eyes on me. Leo tried to call me twice since than incident but I don't have the energy to hear his excuses right now. He has to wait if he wanted to really explain his side.

Not that I wanted to break a soon-to-be family but I didn't see the excitement on Leo's face when he mention that his girlfriend is pregnant. It's like, he was force to be with her just because of the baby.

"Bakit kasi di nag-use ng condom?!" I blurted out of frustration.

"What condom, Eunice?" Kuya Axel was in front of his room. May hawak siyang baby bottles tapos naka-kunot ang noo na naman.

Hindi ko siya pinansin at dumiretso sa silid niya. I saw our little angel in the middle of the bed. Tinabihan ko nalang si baby at nilaro. I wonder if I will have a blue-eyed baby, too? A baby who has Leo's feature and my blue eyes. That would be cute like this one.

"Hello baby! Wanna have a playmate?" I giggled at the thought then remembered that Leo and I would never get the chance.

"Kuya, don't you want to get married?"

"You're only seventeen. Don't think about marriage and stuff. Enjoy your teen, Eu." he ruffles my hair as he sits beside me.

Humiga na ako ng tuluyan sa bed niya — sa tabi ni baby while looking blankly at the ceiling. I'm still thinking about Leo.

"Leo's having a baby, Kuya but he doesn't look happy at all." I was really bothered by that. Kasi, when Kuya Axel had his baby, he looks so madly inlove and happy but Leo? He doesn't look one.

"That's his problem. Don't concern yourself to that guy anymore. And maybe, that's his karma for being a playboy." he casually said and maybe, Kuya was right.

I get up and kissed them good night kahit na maaga pa naman. I'll just make some sketch to burn time.

I won't think about Leo for now and maybe in the future, too. Soon, I'll be eighteen. I can start dating. I will go on a date and forget Leo Madrigal. I had him for a while... for a day to be exact. Nakakatawa pero iyon lang talaga iyon. And maybe, that's enough. I am only into him siguro because he grabs my boobs and kissed me. Lilipas rin ito.

I know it will be. I hope it will be.
