Chapter 10

"THIS IS FREAKING me out, Eunice. He's really tailing us like some kind of maniac!" Reklamo ni Arch habang nagsisiksikan kaming lahat sa Land Rover nila.

"Will you stop looking back?!" singhal ni Rhett. Nakapagitna ako sa kanilang dalawa ni Arch. "You're squishing Eunice." na umani ng sunod-sunod na kantiyaw.

Sumipol pa si Gelo kaya hinampas ito ng bottled water ni Rhett.

"Stop teasing my boyfriend! Come on!" pagsama ko sa kaingayan nila habang namumula si Rhett sa tabi ko at salubong ang makakapal na kilay.

We were going to August and Arch's residence. Anniversary kasi ng parents nila and since we're like family na rin naman kaya Tito and Tita invited us. And this is the first celebration that we're going to attend after we all turn eighteen. So, we're really excited talaga.

"Guys!" I said, stopping them. "Stop na! Save your energy for later because you know?" I wiggled my brows. "We can now drink to our hearts content!"

"Nah. Not you." bulong ni Rhett.

I know he meant nothing by that. Maybe he's just worried kasi ako iyong pinakamalayo ang uuwian. And for sure hindi rin naman ako hahayaang malasing nung iba.

I leaned on him. "I can sleep over naman. Besides, walang pasok tomorrow so it's super fine." I gave him a reassuring smile as I held on the customise cake na kinuha pa namin sa Monroe's Hotel & Restaurant — ang favorite resto ng Family namin.

Nang magkaroon na sila ng normal conversation about their sports and boy thing, noon ko lang muling napagtuunan ng pansin ang sasakyan ni Leo na patuloy na nakasunod sa amin.

"Stupid." bulong ko. Hindi naman kasi siya makakapasok sa exclusive subdivision nila Arch. He's just wasting his time. I thought as I rolled my eyes.

I didn't ask him to do this naman. Isa pa, I don't know why he kept on following me! He's like a stalker na! He knows that I don't want him tailing me but he's so hard-headed! Matigas pa ang ulo niya kila Frences and Gienelle, eh!

Pagdating namin sa bahay nila Arch and August ay mukha kaming gate crasher. They're in formal attire!

Hinampas ko si August na tumawa lang. Tapos ay niyaya nila kami sa rooftop ng bahay nila. There's barbecue and some light drinks. The boys got busy so I stay seated on the rattan chair as I took photos of them. Nagkanya-kanya naman sila ng pose. Parang tanga!

"Gonna sell this some time. You guys look stupid." na tinawanan lang nila.

Maya-maya pa ay nagpaalam na iyong magkapatid para i-greet daw yung bisita ng parents nila. Tapos pagbalik nila parang ibang tao na ang mga lintik!

"Oh my gosh!" sabay bunghalit ko ng tawa.

"Dude, don't do this to us! Don't make us laugh!" ani Gelo na ngayo'y namumula na kakatawa.

Arch and August was in tux and the most funny part is that their wearing a matchy-matchy outfit! They look like twins!

"Stop that!" angal ni Arch na hinagis sa akin yung coat.

Tatawa-tawa akong gumilid habang nagbibiruan sila ng suntukan at di sinasadyang napatingin ako sa ibaba and was a bit surprise seeing Leo near the house.

Nasa labas siya ng kotse niya at nakasandal habang naninigarilyo. I've never seen him smoke. Ngayon palang at medyo nainis ako at bago pa ako makapag-isip ng mabuti ay naitext ko na siya.
