"YOU'RE TURNING EIGHTEEN, Eunice," my mom started while we're fixing my twin sibling's hair. "What do you want for your birthday? Saan mo gustong ganapin?"

"I don't want a grand birthday party, Mom, a simple celebration will do." Sagot ko while braiding Frences' hair.

Mom looked at me as she let go of Gienelle. "Why?"

I look at my mother. She's on her mid-forties and yet, still as stunning as ever. She married dad at the age of eighteen, had Kuya Axel five months later and every three years, they're bringing another Telpace into this world. Well, except for Gienelle and Frences. Unexpected kasi ang pagsulpot nilang dalawa kaya sobra ang tuwa naming lahat lalo na at mas marami ang lalaki sa lahi namin.

"Mom, I want to be with him. I'm almost eighteen na but we're still strangers to each other. I mean, not really but almost like."

Leo and I met occasionally because we were on the same circle. For the last two years, his popularity in F1 racing has increased dramatically. His fans are everywhere! Daig pa niya ang celebrity sa dami ng tagahanga. Well, I know that most of them are only after his looks. I mean, who on earth wouldn't notice how good-looking a Leo Madrigal is? Even his brothers are as handsome as he is. Pero iba pa rin si Leo maybe because of the uniform?

May mga pagkakataon na nagkakasalubong kami sa isang party or gathering pero kahit isang beses ay hindi niya ako kinausap pero hindi rin niya itinatago ang tingin na ipinupukol niya sa akin. Even my brother notices how he looked at me. It was like he wasn't happy to see me but can't take his eyes away from me.

Isang ngiti ang iniukol sa akin ni mommy bago tumayo para halikan ako sa pingi. "Let's talk about your birthday some other time. I need to go now."

"Mom –"

"We'll talk about your Madrigal some other time, too. For now, focus on your studies and sweetheart, don't rush things out. You're still a baby, don't forget that." She said before giving me a last look.

I looked at myself. I am barely eighteen and yet, I'm wearing a complete make up. Kuya Dwight used to erase my lipstick and eye shadow while Kuya Clyde will just look at me with a knotted forehead.

Si Kuya Axel?

"Kuya!" Gienelle and Frences chanted as they saw Kuya Axel walking down the stairs, looking as clean as ever, holding our little angel.

We greeted him good morning and he just looked at me like he didn't know me at all. He really hated us – me and Ate Bianca – wearing a make-up. Like hello? We're in fashion industry. Make-up was like our second skin na.

"Who's this?" aniya pa sa kambal.

Inirapan ko siya. He's always like that. At kaysa mairita pa ako, binalingan ko nalang si baby at pinindot ang ilong.

"I'm going off, little one. Be good, okay?" at isang irap pa ulit ang ibinigay ko kay Kuya Axel bago pumuntang school.

I don't have much girl friend in school because most of my friends are boys. Kung minsan kasi, parang mas madali pa silang pakisamahan kaysa sa mga kapwa ko babae na ang daming arte sa buhay. Alright, maarte rin ako pero iyong arte ko, walang halong pagpapanggap. Kapag ayoko, ayoko. At mas tamang sabihin na mapili ako kaysa maarte.

"Arch, nakita mo ba si August?" Arch's one of my friend and he's a soccer player at sikat din sa school while August, his brother na matanda lang sa kaniya ng ilang months ay isa namang swimmer.
