IF THERE'S ONE THING CASSANDRA DIDN'T LIKE, it was starting a new school. The fact that she was starting in the middle of the semester was even worse. Cassandra was used to starting new schools abruptly- after all, she had been kicked out of six schools in six years before she learned she was a demigod. Since then, she had managed to stay at one school- Goode High School, where her half-brother went. To say she was upset about leaving after she had been doing so well was an understatement.

The morning of her first day at Beacon Hills High School, Cassandra waited for her cousin, Stiles, to pick her up. She spotted a run-down, beat-up powder blue jeep coming down the street. The person driving the jeep parked in her driveway.

A brunette-haired boy around Cassandra's age emerged from the jeep. Upon first glance, she knew this was Stiles. The two were spitting images of each other.

"Cass?" Stiles asked.

"Mieczyslaw?" Cassandra teased.

"Oh God, do not ever call me that in front of anyone I know or I will kick your ass."

"Whatever Stiles," she replied, giving him a hug.

The two separated and got in the car. They made small talk, as much as they could considering they hadn't seen each other in ten years.

When they arrived at school, Stiles brought her to the office.

"I'm meeting up with my friends before class starts, I'll try to find you?" Stiles asked.

"Sure," Cassandra replied.

Stiles gave her a thumbs up and a smile before leaving her at the office.

Cassandra got her schedule and groaned.

History first period? Torture. She thought.

By the time Cassandra found her history classroom, the bell had already rung and she was late.

Great first impression, Cass.

"Good morning everyone. My name is Mr. Yukimura. I'll be taking over for your previous history teacher. My family and I moved here three weeks ago. I'm sure, by now, you all know my daughter Kira?" Mr. Yukimura said as Cassandra popped into the room.
