Fin’s POV:

I immediately feel bad for hurting Seb…or was it chris…to get to Anne, but she had crossed a line and now she was going to pay for it. I had received a call shortly after Andy’s death that on her way to the exit Anne had killed Nathan, the newest member of our ‘coven’, in cold blood. She was completely out of control and I stride over to her now, cowering in her chair, to put an end to it all. Quickly, Kyle steps into my way and blocks me from getting to Anne.

“Get out o’ my way, Kyle!”

“Fin, you must listen to me, please come outside so we can talk in a civilised manner.”

“FUCK YOU! That bitch killed Andy, the one guy, other than you, who ‘ad hope in her, who trusted me!”

“Ye, so don’t let his death be for nothing! Now come outside and we can talk about this…”

“And what ‘bout Nathan?! He was twenny five, Kyle, what he die for?” I want to step around Kyle and beat her senseless; what she did was inhuman and it made me sick to my bones…and to make it worse, it was all my fault…

“COME OUTSIDE, FIN! We can calm down and talk about this rationally instead of beating a woman who happens to be utterly defenceless, would you really be ok with hurting her?” The rage that is tearing through me screams at me to push Kyle out of the way and beat her to a pulp but the better part of me holds me where I stand. I feel my clenched hands lower and I try my best to calm myself. I groan in frustration and stumble out the room, hearing Kyle trailing behind me. As soon as the door is shut, Kyle motions for Seb/Chris to leave then turns to me.

“What is it then, Kyle?”

“I wanted to remind you that she is not from our world and you are judging her according to your own moral values instead of judging her by the ones she follows; do you think that’s fair?”

“She’s on our turf now, Kyle, she ought to at least abide by our rules!” I hear my voice rise in volume and my anger burns stronger within me once more, my words becoming a little less slurred.

“She doesn’t know what our values are! Here’s an example…if you landed on an alien planet and were convicted of murder because you stepped on a plant, you would think it unfair as you were not familiar with their moral values…”

“…YE but Nathan and Andy weren’t plants, they were people, and I don’t see her killin’ any of her own kind!”

“You forget, Fin, we are the enemy and you brought her here to convince her otherwise. You knew it would be difficult and you were stupid if you thought there wouldn’t be any casualties. She’s had a tough past to deal with but because of our own injustices, we choose to overlook that. Any one of us would behave the same way were we captured by one of her people, don’t try and tell me you wouldn’t kill some of her team if you had the chance.” Kyle was right, but my anger and pride stands too high, for the moment, to admit I’m wrong so I cross my arms over my chest and release a huff of air, feeling myself relax a little. “How ‘bout you go and have a lie down and sleep off the liquor, I’ll wake you up later and we can have a little chat with her, ok?” I shrug and walk off towards my room, mentally kicking myself at the terrible mess of broken glass I’d left in there that I’d have to clear before settling down to rest.

Kyle’s POV:

I see Fin walk round the corner in the direction of his room then I turn and open the door to Anne’s cell. She sits erect in her chair, seemingly more awake now and she eyes me over warily. I hate how she still has bruises on her face from when Jax had hit her on her first day here, I hadn’t liked watching it happen either, yet I had let it happen. Her grey-blue eyes have not left my face and I feel an awkward tension between us so I stroll towards her and grab a nearby chair to sit in front of her so I can see her face when I speak. “You are quite an intriguing specimen, my dear…” She nods in response and I know she will lay on the sarcasm in her words.
