Chapter Fourteen

Knox

"Casey....". I stay there stunned not knowing what to say now.

"Who are you ?"

Her eyes are welled up with tears  while she is asking me questions and it's breaking my heart as I'm the reason of tears.

"Casey let me.............". I start talking but she cuts me off.

"Who are you Matt ?"

"Casey let's just sit and talk I will explain everything."

"So is she your new women, interesting.". Elisa said with an evil glint in her eyes which will not be good at all for me.

"Yes I'm his women and if you will give us privacy we have some important things to talk about so you may leave.". Casey talk with confidence.

"Are you still gonna listen to him after he lied to you about his name and profession, started a relationship all in a lie." Elisa said with a smug smile.

Why is she checking my patience right now it is not good for her at all because I'm hanging on a thin thread.

I may snap at any time right now.

"That's none of your business, anyways he didn't cheat on me like you did.

If I was in his place before 3 years I would have snapped you neck and killed you."

Casey replied with disgust.

That's my girl, how angry may she be with me at this moment. She stands by my side when Elisa is trying to separate us.

This shows her love towards me.

"So may we sit and talk." I say with a smug smile looking at Elisa.

With this Elisa understands she doesn't stand a chance so like a spoilt child she  stomps her foot and walks away from us.

I smile at the scene and turn towards Casey.

"Yes.". She says through clenched teeth, her eyes are shooting draggers at me which is not good at all at this moment.

We settle down and she starts her questions.

"Ok, so are you Knox or Matt ?"

"Both are my names itself."

Casey raises her one eyebrow as in asking a explanation for my statement.

Hence I explain.

"Knox is my first name and Matt is my middle name."

This conversation seems good as it is taking place in a very normal way. But my heart says like something terrible is gonna happen.

"So you are the CEO of Lennon Industries."

"Yes.". I can say nothing else right now.

"You didn't trust me right Knox."

Her voice is breaking due to tears and my heart is breaking thinking I'm the reason for her tears.

"No it's not like that Casey.". How will I convince her now god.

"Then what is it Knox. I fell in love with a guy and share all the secrets about my life with the guy, just to know that he couldn't trust me at all in our relationship."

"Babe, cherry just hear me out once."

"What is left to hear out Knox. I already did tell you that......that I have trust issues did I not say...........and after a long time when I suddenly trust someone........in my life...........it turns out to be a guy who doesn't trust me at all.". She says stammering.

"No Casey I trust.......". I say but she cuts me off.

"Then couldn't you share with me that you're the CEO of Lennon Industries. You're the Knox Lennon for Godsake." She shouts.

"You thought I was an asshole.". I shout back to her.

"You could have changed my mind by telling the truth IDIOT!!!!!You don't trust me."

"No, I trust you."

"Without trust there is no 'we' Knox."

NO no no.......she can't do this, she cannot leave me like this in this situation.

"You just broke me again Knox, last time people to broke me was my parents as they didn't want me. Now you because you don't trust me."

"No I trust you, I was gonna say soon."

"Why didn't you tell me at first Knox."

"Because.........". I don't have any more words to say beacuse it will complicate the situation more.

"Because now you know the reason, at that time you didn't trust me and I blindly trusted you like a fool.". She says angrily.

My eyes welled up with tears.

'No, Casey don't leave me." I said in a soft voice.

"There was no Matt the developer, there was only Knox 'THE CEO', I was a fool and made a fool of myself infront of you."

"No, Casey we can straighten things out, just hear me out."

"You just wanted someone who will love you for you being a developer not CEO.

What I wanted was trust between two people which I did not have for a long time. When I found the connection with you I thought it could be something real."

"No Casey, I wanted someone who will love Knox for who he is, not for his achievements in life."

She starts staring into the nearest wall. And why is it happening.

Why is my life being turned from happiness to tragedy like this.
