Couples danced hand in hand in the center of the ballroom, gowns brushing against the marble flooring as they swayed around their partners.

Jisung twirled Yeona before connecting his hands with hers again.
"He's been looking at you," he whispered lowly, looking behind Yeona.

"I know," she whispered back. "I wonder why?"

"Who knows," Jisung answered, twirling the princess around again.
Yeona's hand reconnected with his, but this time it felt slightly different. The touch of his skin sent electric shocks through her body and her breathe hitched as she was pulled closer to him. Yeona looked up and locked eyes with a pair full of mischief.

"Hello, Princess."

She gasped, "Haechan."
Yeona immediately looked behind him to see a distressed Jisung, dancing with Haru.

Upon seeing Jisung, Haru was immediately shocked and disgusted, letting go of him and leaving the poor prince on the dance floor.
Jisung shrugged and looked over at Yeona worriedly who in return gave him a reassuring smile. Seeing that she was okay, he left the dance floor as well.

"You grew well in these past six years," Haechan said, causing Yeona to turn to the prince in front of her.
"Yes, and that's because I didn't have you around," she said, words laced with toxicity.

He gave a pained expression. "Ouch, you don't mean that, do you, love?"
"Of course I do. Now what is the meaning of this, Prince Haechan?"

"Donghyuck."

She furrowed her brows, "excuse me?"
He glided the both of them across the dance floor, the orchestra continuing to play in the background as they danced. Unknown to the two of them, they were the only ones dancing as the crowd moved to the sides to provide them room- entranced by their waltz.

The feeling of the Prince's hand on her waist sent electric sparks throughout her body. Yeona's eyes scanned his face- clear honey skin dotted with pretty moles, a perfectly shaped mouth, and dark, mysterious eyes that held mischief; along with another emotion she couldn't quite put a finger on.

Yeona didn't notice Donghyuck pull her closer to him as they danced across the ballroom floor, her heartbeat racing with each step she took.

She hate to admit it but, she was enjoying this dance. It had been so long since she had last seen Donghyuck and upon seeing him, her feelings buried amongst hatred had begun to resurface. Not to mention that he was an excellent dancer.

Donghyuck's eyes scanned over her features as well, a part of him feeling nostalgic. The soft, baby features that had once adorned her years ago had now grew. He looked over to the small scar on her cheek, remembering that it was still the same as it was years ago.

Just like Yeona, his heart raced as he danced with her. Sparks were sent out throughout his body as their hands held each others and when he looked at her face and deep into her eyes, his heart ached.

Donghyuck had always thought that she was pretty when they were younger; but now that they had both grown up he was in pain at how beautiful she had become.

"It's Donghyuck," he repeated. "Don't you remember? You used to always call me that when we were little."
Yeona glared at him, "yes. When we were little."

Donghyuck chuckled. "Careful, don't look too deep into my eyes. You might fall in love."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You wish."

"You're right," he said twirling her around, this time she tripped on her own feet. However before the princess could hit the floor, he caught her. "I wish."
