"Hyuckie, wait!"

Donghyuck sharply turned around, pulling his hand out of Minhee's grip. Students stared at the couple wide-eyed, shocked at the commotion that the two were making in the middle of the hallway.

"Can you not call me that? Especially at school?"

Minhee pursed her lips. "I just- I just wanted to be with you."

"Well you don't need to follow me wherever I go!" Donghyuck bursted out. The girl flinched at the sound of his voice, Donghyuck heavily breathing as other students watched them- it was dead silent.

He sighed. "I'm sorry but, just give me some damn space for once. Okay?"

Before Minhee could respond Donghyuck turned around, heading in the opposite direction and away from his girlfriend.

"What?"

"Have you seen Donghyuck?"

"Not since this morning when I had class with him," Yeona answered Mark, phone in her hand.

The boy sighed through the phone. "I don't know if you heard, but him and Minhee had a fight in the hallway right after school ended. He left the building and nobody has heard from him since."

"Well I'll let you know if I find him."

The two ended the call, Yeona's head in a daze from the news she just received. Needless to say, she was a bit worried about Donghyuck, nobody had known where he went.

Yeona was walking on the sidewalk, turning around a corner and that's when she stopped in her tracks. Her eyes glued onto a figure wearing a black hoodie and walking out of the convenience store.

"Donghyu-!" But she was too late.

The boy had already gotten into a taxi and rode off. She hurriedly composed herself, rushing to the edge of the sidewalk and raising her hand out, calling for a taxi.

Luckily, one came right away and she got in quickly. "Follow that taxi, please."

The driver obeyed, following the taxi that Donghyuck had gotten in earlier. A few minutes passed, and both taxis finally came to a stop at a viewpoint.
Donghyuck got out, heading towards a bench that sat facing towards the edge of a cliff. Yeona got out as well, cautiously walking towards the boy, unsure of what to do or say.

She took a step and a branch snapped beneath her foot. Donghyuck sharply turned his head around upon hearing the sound.

He furrowed his brows. "Yeona? What are you doing here?"

"I could be asking you the same thing."

"But I asked first."

Yeona sighed. "I followed you. Everyone's worried about you, you know."
He stayed silent. Yeona walked over and sat next to him on the bench. The two sat in silence, letting the quietness of the night wash over them as they looked down at the view.

"I feel suffocated."

Yeona looked at his side profile. "What do you mean?"

"Like I don't have any freedom. My relationship with Minhee... It's arranged."

They both looked down at the city lights twinkling from afar in the night, the sounds of cars honking in the distance as crickets chirped around them. The atmosphere was peaceful, a calm breeze blowing past them.

"My father wants me to marry Minhee. He says that I'll have a better life if I do, seeing that she is the daughter of a big CEO."

"How long have you two been arranged?"

"Since our freshman year," he sighed. "But it wasn't public until last year when we were juniors."

"I'm sorry," she said quietly.

"Don't be," Donghyuck smiled bitterly. "It isn't your fault anyways."

Silence fell over the both of them again until Donghyuck turned his head. "Yeona?"

"Hm?"

"Thank you," he smiled.

Upon seeing his smile, Yeona smiled back. "What for?"

"Ever since I met you, I felt like I could finally breathe again."
