As soon as I was finished with unpacking I went to find steve. I saw him on the couch looking at a file. "steve?" he closed it and a tear fell onto it. "you miss her don't you?" I gave him a sympathetic smile and sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close. "she is not as good as you though." he kissed the top of my head "your hair smells of coconut." I chuckled and so did steve. I leant into his side and Tony came in and cleared his throat. "sorry Lauren but me and capsicle are needed at SHIELD." Steve let go of me and got up. "dad don't let my cappy get hurt or yourself." he chuckled. "I won't." I rolled my eyes and watched them leave. Someone came in. "hey lauren."
"hey mom you okay?"
"yeah I'm okay." she plopped down next to me. We had a massive chat about girlie stuff and eventually started watching TV. We flipped through several channels until we settled on Christmas/24 and watched a movie called deck the halls. It was quite emotional so I got a box of tissues. "hey Lauren if you could give me a piece of advice to keep my emotions stable what would it be?"
"never watch war horse." we both chuckled and the movie finished. Tony called pepper and we were told to evacuate the city. Me and pepper packed a small case each and got onto one of Tony's jets and left the city. "where to miss?" pepper looked at me and I nodded. "London England please."
"Heathrow or gatwick?"
"Heathrow." we took off and started the 13 hour plane trip. I fell asleep on one of the recliners listening to one direction and woke up an hour later. Pepper looked panicked "mom what's wrong?" she turned CNN news on and I went pale and crossed my fingers "please tell me my captain and dad aren't hurt. Please tell me."
"reports say that captain America is in critical condition pleading to see his girlfriend." I got up and went to the pilot area. "turn this plane around and take me to the helicarrier."
"but miss--"
"DON'T QUESTION JUST DO IT!!!"
The plane turned around and landed on the helicarrier. "mom get your stuff." she nodded and grabbed her bag and I went inside. "fury where's steve?!"
"infirmary." I ran down with my bag and heard him shouting "I'm not going on that operating table until I see my girlfriend alive and well."
"just get your ass on that table captain." I smirked and fiddled with my diamond locket. "not until I see her!"
"look in the doorway babe." he looked over to me and relaxed as I came over with my bag. I kissed his forehead and ran my fingers through his hair. "you really know how to scare the shit out of me spandex." he chuckled softly and pulled me down so I was laying next to him and I smiled. "as the doctor said you need to get your super soldier ass on that operating table. I'll be right here waiting." he smiled and I got up as he was taken to the operating theatre. I went down to tony's basement and knocked. "mr stark your daughter is at the door."
"let her in." I came in with pepper and our bags. Pepper hugged him tightly and I smiled softly and heard Steve's cries of pain. I darted out of the room and went up to his room to see him having a nightmare. "steve? Steve wake up." he pinned me down by my throat. "never touch her again!" I slapped his cheek and he woke up and jumped back.
