I pinned up a Tony Stark poster and a few other avengers posters. "wow you really take a shine to me don't you." I blushed and my reactor started showing so I took off my jacket and jumper. "what's it like walking around with an arc reactor all the time?"
"it's hard at first but it'll become a part of you."
"I've had it for ten years."
"how old are you?"
"twelve."
"oh." the man in spandex came to the door. "miss griffin can I speak with you?"
"about what captain?"
"I'd rather not discuss the subject in front of your father." I sighed
"meet me in the gym in an hour."
"will do." he left and I faced tony.
"would you like to see the suit I was working on since I got the reactor?"
"I thought you'd never ask!" I rolled my eyes "shit its still in my workshop."
"want a ride?"
"please." tony put on one of his suits and picked me up and carried me to my workshop where my suit was. I typed a pass code in and everything lit up "nice to have you back miss."
"thank you jarvina. Please unlock the door to the markIX suit."
"as you wish." a huge bombproof metal door opened and a blue and silver suit came forward. "would you like me to open the blue prints miss?"
"yes please jarvina." several desks lit up and there were several holographic blueprints on them. "like it dad?"
"it's just like my workshop."
"just before you gave me up I crawled around your workshop and got a few ideas."
"oh my god Lauren. You really know a lot about this don't you?"
"learn from the best."
"miss griffin Iona I requesting your presence shall I let her in."
"no thank you jarvina tell her I'm in Manhattan."
"as you wish." I walked over to one of the many blueprints and began working. "feel free to have a little look around dad I don't mind." tony started looking at the blueprints and I replaced the palladium in my arc. Luckily he was still looking at the blueprints but he noticed the box of palladium and walked over to me. "Lauren. You use palladium?" I nodded "I can't find any other elements to use."
"I can just let me go and get another element for your arc." I took out my arc and handed it to him "I can't survive more than 20 minutes without that in my chest."
"okay Lauren."
"I'll let you in when you get back." he nodded and left the workshop with my arc. It was 30 minutes before he returned and I had collapsed but I had left the door unlocked. "Lauren?!" I couldn't respond the shrapnel was to close to my heart. One wrong move and it could all end. Tony placed the arc in my chest and it lit up and I inhaled sharply. "what the hell?!" I took deep breaths and stood up. "how long with this element last for?"
"as long as you do." I hugged tony
"thanks dad." he hugged me back and kissed my forehead. "it's okay I don't want my only daughter to die." I chuckled softly and we let go "jarvina."
"yes miss?"
"play shoot to thrill on 35."
"yes miss." shoot to thrill began playing and I put my hair into a messy bun and began working. I began singing and after about half an hour the suit was finished. I held out my arm and the hand piece flew onto it. "wow." tony was absolutely shocked
"learn from the best and then make it better. Jarvina suit me up."
"as you wish miss." in about a minute I was in my suit and tony was in his. "well it fits." I slid my mask up and so did tony "that's a good thing."
"I'm takin this back to base you comin?"
"well duh."
"jarvina open the roof hatch and when me and tony are gone lock this baby up."
"yes miss I hope to see you soon." the roof hatch opened and I took off and headed towards the base with tony hot on my heels. "jarvina?"
"yeah?"
"put everything I got into the thrusters."
"yes miss. Would you prefer stark of griffin?"
"stark." the thrusters loaded and I got a massive surge of speed and landed at the base an it took tony 5 minutes to catch up. "slow coach." he lifted his arm and the thruster warmed up and the mask slid up. "don't tempt me sunshine." I chuckled and we slid up our masks. "did I mention that I can hack into anything in about 5 seconds."
"wow no one is messing with my daughter." I put the suit into a bag form and let my blonde hair flow. "who is my mother."
"Virginia potts."
"CEO of stark industries?" tony nodded and I picked up my suit and walked to my room and set up a small place to put my suit and study gamma rays and work on a newer model. I remembered I had to meet spandex in the gym so I put on my black track suit and padded fingerless gloves and walked to the gym to see an impatient spandex pacing. "where have you been?" he pinned me to the wall by my throat and I kicked him off of me. "my workshop. Why did you want to talk to me?"
"director fury wants to speak with you."
"yet you feel the need to pin me to the wall by my throat!!!" I started throwing punches and sooner or later he was on the floor with me hovering over him. "do not touch me again!" Tony came running and I left to go to my room. I locked myself in and started working on the markX. "miss stark."
"yes?"
"director fury is at the door shall I accept or deny access?"
"deny." I continued working on my project with the occasional break. "miss stark your father is at the door."
"accept access." I shut off my music and Tony walked in "sunshine did you actually beat up steve?"
"if you mean spandex then yes I did beat him up."
"wow capsicle was beaten by a 12 year old." I chuckled and looked at the screen I use for gamma radiation and saw a tremendous cluster of particles passing by. "banner is on the move."
"how did you know?" banner poked his head through the door and I shut off my screen "just a guess." I turned the screen back on as he left and saw a greater amount of gamma particles. "uh dad?"
"hmm."
"I have an off the scale reading of gamma radiation." tony looked at the screen "it's just the tesseract." I nodded in understanding and he kissed my forehead. "your just like me."
"except I look nothing like you and I'm a different gender." He chuckled and let me go "miss stark?"
"what Jarvina?"
"director fury demands access."
"I'll accept." the door opened and Nick walked in. "can I help you fury?"
"for once yes." I clenched my fists and calmed myself down. "there is an attack and we need a seventh member to help. I stood up and pulled out my suit. "where's the attack director?"
"Denmead." memories flooded through my mind but I shook them off and nodded. "we understand you were raised there." I nodded
"when do I leave?"
"now." I nodded and he left.
"jarvina?"
"yes miss stark."
"suit me up. We're going to England." I was suited up and tony came in with his suit on "ready lauren?"
"as ready as I'll ever be." we both walked to the deck of the helicarrier and took of toward England.
