Reader's POV:

Y/n was sitting in her daily Economics class totally zoned out from the lesson. She was a fast talking, no nonsense, student who pretty much goes to college like everyone else out there however life for this girl hasn't always been the best. Let's get into the back story shall we?

Flashback

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME?! TO US?!" her mother yelled completely furious. "HOW COULD YOU PUT BOTH YOUR WIFE AND DAUGHTER IN DANGER?! YOU STOLE MONEY FROM A MAFIA? YOU ARE THE MAFIA KING YOURSELF! YOU RULE OVER EVERY GANG IN SEOUL! YOU PUT ALL OF US IN DANGER! WE DON'T NEED ANYONE ELSE'S MONEY! YOU ABANDONED OUR SON WHICH WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE HE IS!" her mother continued. "Listen Sooyoung I've spoke to the Mafia's right hand man and he said Boss will let us off the hook don't worry I have everything under control" her father defended. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN UNDER CONTROL DON'T YOU REALISE THAT THIS COULD EFFECT US IN THE LONG RUN?" her mother Sooyoung defended. " You know what Jaemin you can deal with them however you want both me and Y/n are out of here" her mother said and before she could turn to leave, a man dressed in all black clothing came out of nowhere. "This is your consequence for stealing from us Jaemin" the man said before...

"Hmph I'll leave the girl...she could be useful to the mafia empire in a couple of years since her dad was the Mafia King" he smirked before he fled. "EOMMA! APPA!" Y/n screamed out seeing her mother's blood pouring everywhere as was her fathers. She sat there crying until someone finally came to help her. Since then Y/n stayed with her Aunt and she had pretty much a good life...the only difference was she didn't have her parents by her side.

End of flashback

After years and years of therapy, Y/n became happy within herself and finally was able to move on from the tragic event that she had witnessed. However she had become quiet and only showed her true emotions to her best friend, Sana, and her Aunt. "Y/n Are you listening to me?" her teacher scolded. Y/n just rolled her eyes and fake smiled. "Yes ma'am I am" she replied. The rest of her lesson went by quick with her just staring at the papers in front of her.

Bell Ringing

"Y/n do you-" Sana started however Y/n was quick to interrupt. "Nope sorry Sana I'm not that hungry so I'm not getting food, I have that math test though so I'll see you in the library" Y/n said and ran out the classroom. "This girl is always studying" Sana sighed before making her way to the canteen.

After school

Walking home, Y/n felt very uneasy almost like something bad is about to happen she ignored it as she was already stressed from exams and decided to avoid any trouble. Once she got home all she wanted to do was get all of her homework.

7:38 pm

Y/n's POV:

After doing what felt like an eternity of homework, I was beyond starving as I didn't even have lunch. "Auntie!" I yelled but there was no response. I guess she was doing a night shift again like she always does. She does extra hours just so that she can pay for my college and tuition fees. I put my shoes on ready to go outside and buy some food. I stepped outside and by now it was already pitch black but I didn't mind, I found it peaceful.

After getting everything I needed from the shop, I started to walk home. It was again peaceful however this time I felt uneasy again...Just like how I did when I was walking home from school. Suddenly I heard a gunshot which made me drop my bag and run. I bolted towards the end of the road which had an alleyway attached to the end of it. However it was too late for me to run out of this situation. Someone grabbed hold of me and just in time and yanked me into the alleyway.

"Relax I've got you" the deep Australian accent spoke.
