I look at the group of people. The female stands up and walks towards me holding her hand out to me.
"Hi, I'm Amy. Nice to meet you!" she happily says. Amy is very pretty, having brown mid-length hair, and stands fairly tall.
"Nice to meet you as well. I'm (y/n)." I shake her hand as we exchange smiles. My other hand was still in Jason's hand and Amy looked at our hands for a split second. She looked up at me again with a questioning look on her face. I quickly let go of Jason's hand as the three guys came up to me. The first to come say hi was a very tall man with brown curly hair.
"I am Tyler. Nice to meet you." he smiled. I said my 'as wells' and looked at the other two boys.
I instantly recognized them. The two boys from yesterday in the coffee shop.
The taller one shook my hand. "I'm Mark, Amy's boyfriend."
And the shorter one came up to me as well, shaking my hand like the rest of them did.

"My name is Ethan. Nice to have a name to match with wallet girl." he jokingly says.

Jason starts chuckling. "Why wallet girl?"
Ethan looks at Jason and mark is laughing at Ethan's joke.
"We saw (y/n) at work and when she left she dropped her wallet so Mark and I sprinted to her to give it back." Ethan explained.

"Anyways (y/n), do you want anything to drink?" Jason said.
I rolled my eyes at him. Jason knows that I've been here a thousand times and I can get my own drink.

"Ha ha." I mock him, as I walk away towards the kitchen. Jason follows me there to also grab a drink.
I opened the cabinet and looked for my favorite mug, discovering it's nowhere to be found.

"Hey Jason, where is my mug?" I ask him.
Jason's first response was to laugh at me.

"Can't find your frog mug?" he teases me. I go to punch him in the arm, but Jason is ahead of me and grabs my fist with his hand.
"Now that's not fair." I tell him. He laughs once more and opens another cabinet, revealing my frog mug. I smile at him and Jason grabs it for me, placing it on the counter.

"Pepsi?" he asks, opening the fridge. I nod at him and I go sit on the counter while Jason grabs the Pepsi, knowing damn well I'm not allowed to do that.
He turns around and looks at me with fake angry eyes.
"Young lady, you know you may not do that." he says, walking towards me. Standing in front of me he puts his hands on my hips and carries me off the counter, setting me down on the floor.
"Don't do that again, missy." he threatens me, pointing his finger at me. He turns around, filling our glasses with Pepsi.
"Make me." I plainly say, teasing him.

His head falls back, clearly enjoying our conversation. Ethan comes into the kitchen.
"Hey guys, I'm planning on grabbing some snacks at the store. Anyone wanna come with me?"
It's quiet for a few seconds, Jason and I both not saying anything.
Why not go with him, I think.

"I can come with you." I say quietly, not sure if he was hoping for Jason to come instead of me.

Ethan simply nods and walks back to the living room, putting on his coat and announcing that we'll be back in half an hour or so.

I walk towards him putting on my coat as well.
We say bye to everyone and make our way towards Ethan's car.

Once Ethan starts driving he starts talking.
"I didn't know Jason was such good friends with you."
I look at him. He is focused on the road, not taking his eyes off it once.

"Yeah, we've been best friends for three years now." I tell him.

Silence again.

"Sooo, are you two dating? You seem very close." Ethan asks me, surprising me a little.

"We are definitely not dating, no." I laugh, thinking about the idea.
Don't get me wrong, Jason is a great guy, but I just don't want to be with him in a relationship.

"Oh. Sorry, I just thought-" Ethan stopped talking, mentally face-palming himself.

We got to the store and parked the car. Walking into the store, Ethan took a shopping cart and me being a childish adult became excited.

"Can I sit in the cart?" I plead as I look at Ethan, who starts laughing.
"Yeah of course."
I climb into the cart and sit with my back towards Ethan, leaning back.
Ethan starts pushing the cart towards the snack aisle. He leans his arms on the handle, his face being close to me.

"Okay so, what are your favorite snacks?" Ethan asks me, purposely close to my ear.
