"I'm telling you, you should come to my party."
My friend Jason is convincing me to come to his party that's taking place tomorrow.
He is very eager for me to finally meet his other friends.

"I don't know Ja-"
He cuts me off.
"You will be attending my party, (y/n). I want my best friend to finally meet my other friends. You should go out more anyway."

"Jason, you know I'm not very good at meeting new people."

"I don't wanna hear excuses (y/n). You're coming for me." he tells me, with too much sass in his voice.
I smile at the boy, sitting in front of me. His blue colored hair is parted every way possible from the headbanging he did a few minutes ago. His brown eyes look at me, pleading for me to say yes.

"Okay, Jason. I'll be there. But don't leave me alone too much, please." I beg him.
Jason nods as he stands up and walks over to my kitchen. He grabs a drink out of the fridge and walks back over to me. Instead of sitting down, he puts his hand out to me.
Visibly concerned for myself, I take his hand and he pulls me up.

"Let's see your dance moves." he says, pointing his finger at me.
I shake my head. "I don't dance. It's one thing to go to a party, but dance? No thank you." I tell him putting my hands up.

He lets his head fall in disappointment and starts dancing on his own.
"What about this?" he asks, moving ridiculously around the room.

I start laughing, looking at the stupid boy.
He comes over to me, putting his hand out to me. I take it and he brings me closer, me already knowing he wanted to waltz.
He holds my hand in one of his and his other hand on my lower back, as I put my other hand on his shoulder.

"Ready, madam?" he asks in an overly dramatic British voice.
"Yes kind sir."

He leads me all the way around my apartment, sometimes spinning me and failing miserably at it.
I laugh at this stupid boy and his ability to step on my toes every single time he moves.

As we slowly come to a stop, he spins me one more time, bringing me back so I'm in his arms and dipping my gracefully.
His smile never fades the entire time as he looks directly into my eyes.

"God, that was great." I say slightly out of breath.
Jason brings me up to my feet again and his hands rest on my hips.

Jason and I always flirt with each other and tease each other. It's our way of being best friends. It may be weird at times but it's never awkward.

He smiles at me one more time, standing comfortably close.
"Wanna watch a movie?" he asks me, his voice slightly above a whisper.

"Disney?" I ask as I walk out of his hold, and sit on the couch.

He simply tells me "duh" as he sits next to me.

For the next two hours we watched Beauty and the beast as I sing along to every song.
Getting closer to the end of the movie I begin to get tired so I scoot closer to Jason and put my head on his shoulder, sitting slightly sideways towards him.
As he always does he takes my legs and pulling them over his lap, resting his hands on my lower back and outer thigh.

It may seem that we should be in a relationship, but in reality, we both just wanna be comfortable and trust each other enough to do this stuff.

As the movie comes to an end, Jason turns off the tv, and my eyes already fell shut. Not yet sleeping, I ask Jason "are you staying here tonight or are you gonna go home?"

There is a slight, comfortable pause.

"I will take the couch tonight." he says, sneaking his arm under my legs and lifting me up.
I can tell he walks straight to my bedroom, laying me down on my bed and putting the covers on me.
He sits down next to me.

It's silent for half a minute or so when Jason lifts his hand and starts stroking my hair. I love that we can do all this, knowing that there won't be sexual tension between us.

"Goodnight (y/n)." he whispers. I feel him bend down and he kisses my forehead. After that, Jason stands up and walks out of the room. Closely after he closes the door, I find myself not being able to sleep. Though I was tired something was missing.

Laying wide awake for the next 30 minutes I sit up. Looking around in my room I stand up and quietly walk out the door. I come into the living room and see Jason on the couch, already asleep. He is laying on the part of the couch that is actually made for sleeping, as it has space for two people. I sneakily lift the blanket and lay down next to him.
Jason shifts and turns around so he's looking at the back of my head.

"(y/n)?" his sleepy voice echoes through my ears.
"What are you doing?"

I turn around, facing him. "I couldn't sleep. Sorry for waking you up." I whisper to him, feeling guilty for waking Jason up.

He doesn't respond. I hear Jason shifting towards me and before I know it, two hands sneak around my waist and pull me towards him. My face pushed into his chest and our legs tangled, he whispers in my ear.
"It's okay."
