"Well, of course not. You know he'd probably kick me out of the house," Sizzle was only half-joking. Cleo sighed. "You can't keep up the act forever, Sizzle." Barren nodded. "Cleo's right for once."

Why don't they stick their tail barbs in someone else's business? Sizzle twisted her snout at that thought with annoyance as she buttoned up a beige cape that draped over her back. "Whatever. I don't care about my problems an you shouldn't care about mine either. I'm going to Sunbeam's place," she snapped at her siblings and spread out her wings towards the open and small balcony.

"Sizzle, wait!" Barren cried out but she alright leapt off the railing, shooting up towards the sky and dry, open desert. "Remember, you can't hide from the truth forever!" Sizzle heard Cleo shout up to her.

Sizzle growled to herself. "They really know how to get on my nerves, don't they?" she mumbled. The pale gold SandWing dove down and glided right above the sandy surface. Heat was surrounding her, but Sizzle didn't mind. She actually found it enjoyable.

The SandWing approached the Scorpion Den as she landed, she straightened her posture to look more confidently and tougher than she really was. Let's do this, Sizzle furrowed her brow as she marched in the Scorpion Den.

The Scorpion Den was definitely not a place filled with rainbows and colors like the rainforest. Sizzle has never seen the rainforest, or any other tribe for that matter, but she knew everything about her home. Pyrrhia was her home. The Scorpion Den, however? Not its best aspect.

The Den, as her family called it, was filled with dust and thieves. Sizzle growled at any shady SandWing who was staring at her for a little too long. A salesdragon slunk up to her, grinning with golden fangs. "What a lovely young dragoness you are. You would look even prettier with this," he held up a dark onyx necklace. "For only 20 scales. Actually let's make it 40 for your beauty..." Sizzle hissed and narrowed her eyes. "Not interested," she flicked her barb towards his face as she shoved past the salesdragon.

As Sizzle continued walking, another SandWing lunched at her and tugged her cape, trying to take it off of her. "Hey!" she exclaimed and tackled the dragon. The SandWing clamped his jaws on to her forearm and she grunted in pain. Sizzle grabbed a hold of his shoulders blades and threw him into a small stand. And when passer-bys where rushing to help him, she made a run for it.

The pale gold SandWing with red details sprinted through crowds until she arrived at Sunbeam's house. She took a deep breath and knocked at the door. It creaked open and Sunbeam's mother, Antelope, stood in the doorway. "Oh, hey Sizzle. Sunbeam's upstairs," she said. Sizzle thanked her and walked up the stairs, which leads into a room. She found Sunbeam laid on the rug in her bedroom, drawing on a piece of parchment.

Sunbeam was a darker SandWing, with rich brown scales. She had very light, dazzling hazel eyes and small cream diamond outlines on her white wing membranes and other diamond designs scratched into her beige horns. Her sail was a light hazel that matched her eyes. She also loved jewelry, so she was constantly wearing some. She gave Sizzle her ruby gauntlets, or sort of like pieces of ruby amor for her forearms. Her biggest secret? She was a lesbian like Sizzle and she was an animus. A pretty special dragon.

"Oh Sizzle!  Uhh, hi-" Sunbeam stuttered when she saw Sizzle smiling at her and immediately pushed the drawing under the carpet. Sizzle could've swore that the SandWing her friend was sketching looked exactly like herself.

"Just visiting. Some trouble at home."

"Again? Alright, let's go have a snack and you can explain everything, okay?" the brown SandWing started to walk downstairs then turned to Sizzle and raised her eyebrow.

Sizzle grinned a little, but still felt a little sad.

"Okay."
