"Is that all for today?" Lewis passed the order back to his boss and turned back to the front, only to immediately lock eyes with quite possibly the most attractive man on the planet. He swallowed and tried to recover as quickly as possible. "Next please."
The man approached the counter, running a hand through his soft looking locks.
"I'm sorry, I thought this was Mercedes coffee." He looked to the door, then to Lewis, then to the door and finally back to Lewis once more.
"It is?"
"Oh. Then how did an angel get in here?"
"Um..." Lewis flushed bright red. How was he even supposed to answer that?
"Nico! Stop harassing my best barista." Luckily, Toto came to his rescue.
"Sorry Toto." The man, Nico apparently, at least had the conscience to look sheepish.
"It's good to have you back in the country, man. How have you been?"
"Pretty good, I just missed it here. But I'm back!"
"The country missed you too. Here's your order." Toto handed Nico a bag and a coffee cup. "Just your usual right?"
"You're amazing Toto. Thanks. See you tomorrow. And you, pretty boy." Nico winked at me and walked out of the café.
"Who was that?"
"That was Nico Rosberg. He used to work here until he finished his degree, then he moved back to Germany. But he's back in England now. And I think the two of you are going to get along verrry well."
"Whatever you say, boss, whatever you say."

"Morning handsome." Lewis looked up, meeting the ocean blue eyes that belonged to a certain German. He had been frequenting the coffee shop every day for nearly a month now.
"Good morning Nico. What can I get for you?"
"A latte and a croissant please. Can I ask you a question?" Lewis raised an eyebrow.
"Depends what it is."
"Are you from Tennessee?"
"No, why on earth you think that?"
"Because you're the only ten I see," Nico smirked as Lewis groaned.
"That was terrible. You're going to have to try a lot harder than that."
"Don't worry babes, I've got lots more where that came from."
"Oh god." Nico sent a wink towards Lewis before spinning on his heel and moving away from the main counter to wait for his order. Lewis let his eyes drift over the man, admiring him from head to toe. He couldn't deny that Nico was gorgeous. But Lew wasn't one to just fall into someone's arms.

"There he is. There's the love of my life." Nico sauntered into the coffee shop.
"There he is. There's the pain in my ass."
"You love me."
"Are you sure about that?" Lewis said, cocking an eyebrow.
"Yep. As sure as I am that the sun will rise in the morning."
"Wow. That's pretty sure then." Lewis chuckled at Nico's serious nodding. "Just your regular?"
"Yes please. How have you been?"
"You mean since I saw you yesterday? Pretty good. I worked, I went home, I watched a movie, I ate dinner and I went to bed. Really interesting stuff." Nico laughed.
"And what are you doing after work today?"
"Same as yesterday. Except I think I'm going to watch Inkheart." Lew shrugged.
"Firstly, great movie. Second, you could do that or-" Nico drew out the 'r' sound. "You could let me pick you up after you finish work and I could take you out?"
"That... That actually sounds really nice."
"So is that a yes?"
"Yes, that's a yes." The pair smiled softly at each other.
"Nico?" Valtteri, Lewis's colleague, called out, holding Nico's order.
"Oh yeah. Thank you." Nico took the order and stepped back. "I'll see you later, yeah Lew?"
"See you then." Lewis raised his hand in a half wave as Nico stepped out the door. He flushed bright red. Holy crap, that just happened. Finally! It had only taken nearly three months.
The bell above the door drew the barista back out of his thoughts.
"Sorry, I forget to ask what time you finish," Nico said, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
"Oh. I finish at 3."
"Great. I'll be here." Nico waved again before leaving. What an idiot.

"This is really nice. Thanks for bringing me." Lewis and Nico were spread out on a blanket in the middle of a park. Nico had brought a picnic for the pair, the perfect first date.
"Anything for you, my angel." Lewis' cheeks warmed under the stare that Nico was directing his way. "You're gorgeous. But it's not just that. You're also kind, smart, funny, shy, brave and so many other things that make up the incredible person you are. I'm so glad you said yes to coming here with me."
"Of course I said yes. I don't think I could ever say no to you." Lewis linked their fingers together and squeezed Nico's hand lightly. A comfortable silence settled between them before Lewis finally had the courage to ask the question that was playing on his mind.
"Where do you see this going though?"
"Honestly? It might only be our first date, but I see us growing old together. Just me and you against the world," Nico smiled.
"That sounds like bliss. Me and you. Forever."

Somehow this took me nearly two months to write and it's still horrible🤦♀️. I had no motivation to write these two so I've tried my best but it's not great, sorry😂. Anyway, thanks for reading :)
