Chapter 40

Emily’ POV:

We were going a day earlier than expected just to surprise Liam. The rumors the past couple weeks have been overbearing. Him being seen with a woman he described as a friend and someone on the team. I haven’t spoken to Niall in a couple days I tried to ask him but I got no answer. Liam has eased my mind though. I trusted him. Everything should be fine when I get there it will ease all the fans minds and mine as well.  Currently we were at the studio finishing up the album.

 “Alright that recording was perfect. Great job Emily.” Miranda said through the speakers in the recording studio.

“Thanks Mir!” I put the headphones down on the stand. I opened the door and was instantly consumed by the screeches of my two best friends. Beth and Melanie ran up to me taking me into a group hug. After our quick hug I separated from them and looked at my manager who was smiling at me proudly.

“So Alice?” I asked.

“Go have fun. We start promoting the album when you get back.” She said with a smile. I squealed and gave her a quick hug.

“Thank you so much Alice I’ll see you in three months.” She nodded.

“Just make sure you keep up with your schedule and you bring your recording equipment. You know how to do the rest.” Alice said with a smile. I nodded quickly.

“Come on guys let’s go back and enjoy tonight.” I said with a smile. I grabbed my bag and walked out with the girls in tow.

“So, Em, where are we meeting the boys tomorrow?” Melanie asked with excitement laced in her voice. Just then she pulled out a cigarette.

“We are meeting them in Italy.” I said with a smile. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world with the man I love. Just the thought of it all starting in Italy makes me extremely excited.

“Are you sure it’s okay for me to tag along.” Beth asked. I nodded.

“Yeah, of course it’s fine.” I replied. Melanie nodded as she took another drag of her cigarette.

“Okay I just don’t want to intrude.” She said with a small smile.

“Don’t worry about it okay we both want you on this trip and Liam is happy I’m not going to be alone when he is on stage or work in general.” I said with smile. She nodded. We reached the car and got in. The driver asked where to and I told him home.

“Flight 4970 to Rome is now boarding first class.” The women said over the loud speaker. I looked at Beth and Melanie and nodded my head to the door. We grabbed our carry-ons. Here we go.

After a long flight and a bumpy ride we finally made it safely to Rome. Let me tell you I was very nervous and I had no clue why.

“I’m so nervous and I don’t know why.” I laughed as we pulled out of the Rome airport.

“It’s the rumors Em. You’re having doubts, it’s okay to have doubts every once in a while. It makes seeing each other much better. You guys will be fine I’m sure she is just a friend.” Melanie said with a small smile. I nodded trying to ease the doubt in my mind.

After about 20 minutes of driving we arrived at the hotel which was surrounded by fans. When the driver opened the door I instantly we were surrounded by screams. I saw Paul run out of nowhere.

“Emily? What are you doing here? You’re not supposed to be here until tomorrow.” He said with a smile. He lead us all into the hotel.

“I wanted to surprise him.” I said with a smile.

“Well the boys are still sleeping so you can go right up.”

He gave me the room number and the floor that we would be staying and Liam’s room. He gave me a key to Liam’s room and gave Beth and Melanie the key to their room.

“I’ll see you guys in a little bit.” I gave the each a quick hug and we went our separate ways.

I got to Liam’s room and before I got into the room Niall came out of his room. He saw me and his eyes grew wide.

“Em!? You’re here a day early!” I ignored him because I was mad at him. You can ignore someone for three weeks and expect them to be all buddy buddy with you the day you see them after a while.

“Sh!t your mad. Em, I’m sorry. It’s just… Liam’s my mate and I couldn’t… Please don’t be mad at me. I wish I could tell you what I’ve seen but I don’t want to hurt you. I just…” He rambled.

“Whatever the reason is you have no reason to not at least text me back once to ask me how I’ve been or answer one of my texts. Now if you excuse me, I have a boyfriend to surprise.” I gave him a small smile. A hand pulled me back and turned me to face Niall again.

“Emily I swear if you walk in that room you are not going to like what you see. That’s why I have been trying to avoid talking to you. I told Liam to tell you but he won’t.” He said with my face in-between his hands and his forehead against mine.

“Niall, you’re scaring me.” I said with a slight laugh. He shook his head and dropped my face from is hands. He ran his hands furiously through his hair.

“I can’t tell you. It’s not my place as much as I want it to be. Just know that I’m here for you and I’m not going anywhere. I’m too deep to fall out at this point. Just… my room is the last one at the end of the hall if you need me.” He kissed my forehead and walked back to his room.

When his door closed, I opened the door to Liam’s feeling a little intimidated as to what was waiting for me behind the door. I set my bags to the side and looked at the bed.

Well peeps… This is the end of book one. I’ll be setting up book two in the next hour or so. Thanks to those of you who have read the book. I appreciate every single one of you. I’m sorry if you think this an abrupt ending but I couldn’t think of any other way to end it.
