Chapter 15 ~Soulmates~

~Ray's POV~

Of course I knew about the ghosts 

Carlos ratted Julie out.

But I always knew something was off about those holograms.

They just seemed to life-like 

Anytime I would bring it up, Julie changed the subject.

I made a plan with Carlos and one of this ghost theories.

Once we found out it worked and he reported back to me, we freaked out.

We both knew that the guitarist and Julie had a little something, we made it our plan to get them together.

Carlos told me that the Meggie and Blex guy both think the same about Cuke and Julie.

I was just informed that their names are Luke, Reggie, and Alex.

Those sound better then the ones I thought.

The reason that I can say I am not freaked out about ghosts is because I see my lovely wife Rose's ghost.

She recently crossed over

I know  that she will still watch over me and the kids.

~Julie's POV~

Julie: D-dad!! HEYYYYY!!

I say awkwardly waving.

Ray: So is that your bandmate??

He says with arms crossed and a stern look on his face 

Busted.

I decided I needed to play stupid.

Julie: W-what bandmate?!?!?

I looked at Luke who was frozen in fear.

Ray: I thought I saw something, are you lying Julie?

He says squinting his eyes.

I needed to come clean.

After all, he is my dad.

I look at Luke 

He seems to know what I am thinking and just nods his head.

Julie: Yeah, I didn't want to tell you because you would send me back to Dr Turner.

I sheepishly say while looking at my shoes.

Ray: You can tell me anything mija

Julie: Their ghosts.

I blurt out 

Oh gosh 

he's gonna give me a lecture 

here it comes....

Ray: Took ya long enough 

he says with a smile 

HE KNEW?!?!

HOW?-

wait 

I see Carlos peering behind a bush 

Julie: Los-come out of there.

He slowly walks out.

Ray: Nina, I believe you, I saw your mom as a ghost and she recently crossed over. I didn't want you to think that I was delusional.

He says quietly

SO HE SEES GHOSTS TOO?!?!?

Ray: Hey, do you mind if you hold Muke's hand? I wanna see him.

My dad says with a genuine smile.

Julie: You mean Luke?

Ray: Yeah, Luke.

I walk over to where Luke is standing and twist our fingers together.

I feel a jump of flutter fill my heart.

Luke is closing his eyes, like something bad is gonna happen.

Ray: Nice to meet you Luke, I am Ray-Julie's father- and your more then welcomed to keep staying in our garage. Thank you for brining my daughter back.

My dad says with a huge curved smile placed on his face.

Him and Luke talked for a bit.

My dad seemed to really like Luke.

Surprisingly, Luke was into photography which of course made my dad love him more.

They said their goodbyes.

Luke returned to the studio.

Ray: Los, can you go inside? I wanna speak to Julie.

Carlos: Yeah sure!

He said with a wink before skipping inside.

Ray: Mija, don't lie to me okay?

Oh no what was he gonna say??

Julie: Yeah ok...

Ray: You like Luke a lot huh??

OH NO 

Julie: Maybe I don't know.

I said shifting my feet 

Ray: Jules don't lie, I really like him. He is a very good guy.

He says as he shoulder-hugs me

I smile and hug him 

Julie: I really do like him dad, I do.

Now my dad knows my secret, it feels good.

Okay

I already know it. 

They are literal 

SOULMATES

I mean the poor boy couldn't keep his eyes of my daughter.

He is a very nice boy though.

I am so lucky to find a guy like him for my daughter, even though he is a ghost.
