Chapter-2

Carry urf Ajey was working on his video in his room. It was nearly 11pm. He worked hard all day. As a result he was exhausted. So he decided to go and have some fresh air.

Ajey's p.o.v:~

"Yash...mai walk k liye ja raha hu thora...thak gaya hu pura din pc k samne baith kar..tu chalega kaya?" I asked Yash yelling from my room.

" Nahi , sone ja raha hu yaar. Neend araha hai. Tu ja." He answered.

" Okay. " I replied and taking my hoodie I stepped out.

As soon as I started walking the cold air hit me. It's so soothing. I put on earphone and placing my hands inside the hoodie I kept walking while refreshing my mind. The locality is almost dark. Everyone has slept maybe. When I arrived in front of a house which was locked for two months , I saw it was totally lighten. I didn't get it. Unplugging my earphone , I heard some nervous female voices. They were greatly tensed. I remembered mummy told me earlier here is some newly arrived family. So I decided to go and see what's the problem and if they need any help so late in the night. I go ahead and rang the doorbell.

Aarushi's p.o.v:~

I woke up after 6 hours. After refreshing myself I began to unpacking my staffs and arranging things. It was so late. I saw it's 10 pm. Ma called for dinner. I went. It was quick and short ,since it's our first day here.

Just after finishing dinner , we heard papa's groan from the sofa. I hurriedly went over living room and saw him with his hands on chest. I was frightened . He occasionally has panic attack as a result of the accident he faced almost 4 years ago.
He was facing difficulty while breathing. Ma was greatly tensed. I tried calling the doctor. But he didn't pick it. I again called and I just kept calling . He didn't answer. I was perplexed no knowing what to do. My mother was also same. She was tensed , nervous, anxious as there was no available service. We two were talking nervously. I was unable to decide what to do. He had this panic attack after a long time. Just then the doorbell rang. Who can come at this hour?

       I opened it and saw the boy from bus earlier. What is he doing here? As he saw me , he seemed surprised as well. As I stood there mute , he asked tensly  " Is everything okay here? I heard nervous voices. "  I replied " Wo meri papa ko panic attack aya abhi abhi. Doctor available nahi hai. Kuch samajh nhi araha kaya karu. " Suddenly I described all the problems to him. Somehow I believed he is the only person who can help us in this late night.

" Okay...mai ambulance bulati hu abhi. " He told before turning around.

Yeah..I didn't have the number to contact the local ambulance. He called and within 20 minutes the ambulance came. I quickly told him " Thank you very much. I am so grateful. " And went inside the ambulance.

Ajey's p.o.v:~

After they were gone to the hospital I felt very good that I returned her favour. It would be very tough for them to handle the situation if I wouldn't come. I went to home and made a mental note to visit them next day. Being a neighbour , I should have some responsiblities. Weird ? I was never that kind of guy who would care for the neighborhood , which I personally think is very annoying. Then also , they are different. Let's see.

[In morning]

( Ajey came downstairs and told the family about last night incident )

A/f :~ Achha hua tu waha pouch gaya..warna bohot taklif me padte wo log. Ja hospital aur dekh k aa..kuch aur madat chahiye ki nahi. Mai badme mil lunga unse.

A/m :~ Haa..hum baadme milne jayenge..tu breakfast karke chale ja.

( After taking breakfast he headed towards the hospital )

After reaching the hospital I saw her and her mother in the counter discussing among themselves.

Aa/m ( Aarushi's mother ) :~ Beta..tumne hi to kal help kiya tha na....bohot bohot shukriya.

Aa( Aarushi ):~ Haa..ma..tum ghar jao. Hum sham me ake papa ko le jayenge. Tab tak ap ghar jake fresh ho jao. Mai medicines leke aungi.

( After Aarushi's mother left )

She looks exhausted. Of course, she didn't get any sleep last night. I nervously observed her as she was checking prescription. She then looked at me and said " Thank you once again. Pata nahi kaya karti agar tum nahi hote to. "

Seriously?? What am I to her? A brother? She is probably of  same age as me . Why "tum" ??

" It's ok. Hi..myself Ajey Nagar. " And I did a quick handshake.

" Oh! Hi!! I am Aarushi Malhan. " She replied. Okay..she doesn't know me. Got it.

" So.. you're going to pharmacy. Chalo , sath sath chalte hai. " I said.

" Haa.." she said and we started walking.

" So, how is your father?" I asked.

" Better. Though it's not first time. He will be alright till evening. Thank u a lo.." again she attempted to thank me.

" Haa..pata hai..' thank u alot '. Kitne baar bologi? Soo...you came here just yesterday?"I asked.

" Haa.. tumhe kaise pata?"

" We are in same neighbourhood. That's why I was able to help you. Mummy told me yesterday a new family came. "

"Ohkayy...So Ajey what do you do?"

" I am currently just following my passion which is to make videos. I am 18 by the way. You?"

" I am also. I am a student of class 12. Abhi abhi yaha ake 'XYZ' school me admission li. "

" Oh! Great, mai bhi same school se hu.  Here.. medical store. Ayo. "

( After taking medicine)

" So ghar jake tum so jayo. Sham me shayed mere parents milne ayenge uncle ghar aneke baad." I said.

" Hm...one thing. We are of same age.
So please ' tu ' karke baat karo. " She said.

" Okay. It's same for you. "

After saying bye we both parted ways. She is way more tired than she looks. Her voice was weaker. Okay.. she's gonna take rest. Aarushi , Aarushi , Aarushi...I told the name to myself.
