28: Bad news

After the final point was scored, the other team looks at me with shock in their eyes. As Iwa Chan catches me once again and puts me on my feet.

"Woah...! SHE IS HOT!" Nishinoya yells
"YEAH!" Tanaka agrees
"Don't say that! Tendo-San is-" Hinata starts, I quickly feel arms around my waist, Tendō pulls me into his arms and rests his head on my shoulder.

"-Her boyfriend" I giggle and pat his head as he glares at Tanaka and Noya.
"Sorry Tendo-San!" They say in unison
"Yeah." I kiss his forehead and see him calm down until;
"Tendō. We must go, class starts soon" Ushy states
"Awwww! Okay Ushyyy, let me just-" He pulls out a box of his chocolates out and hands me it, he smiles as he sees my face light up with joy.

"Enjoy princess" he says as he kisses my forehead
"I will! Bye Cherry!"
"See ya paradise" I kiss his cheek and he walks off with Semi and Wakatoshi.
I turn back to my team and see Them looking at me with puppy dog eyes. I chuckle evilly.

"No! Satori's chocolates will not be shared!" I put my foot down
"BUT SISSSS!" Toru whines
"No Toru! That deal you made extends to these too okay?! Or I'll be going back to Shiratorizawa!" I order before he gasps
"NONO IM SORRY!" He yells
"Good." I put the chocolates in my duffel bag as Some of Karasuno walk up and ask for my number, I add it into all their phones (minus tanaka and Noya) and see them all grin.

"Thanks for the match Seijoh!" Daichi says
"Thanks for having us Karasuno!" Toru replies
"No problem-" Daichi starts before he's cut off
"BYE Y/N!"
"Bye Hinataaaa!" He jumps up and gives me a hug before I quickly slip a chocolate into his mouth.

"Shhhh, no one saw that" He giggles and waves with The rest of Karasuno as we get on the bus and head back to Aoba Johsai.

As we get off the bus, the coach walks over to Toru and I.

"Oikawa's"
"Yes coach?" We reply in unison
"Your mother needs you home immediately, it's a family emergency" Toru and I look at each other in fear as we nod and quickly run home, as we burst through the door we see our mother shaking and crying.

"Mom what's wrong?!" I ask as I hug her
"I-I.. have some bad news..." she sobs
"What is it mom..?" Toru asks
"I...I don't have enough money to care for you both... my pay has been cut at work..." Toru and I begin to tear up at look at her
"S-So one of you will have to go live with your grandfather..." she informs us
"Who's going...?" I ask
"I-I couldn't decide... you two must choose between yourselves..." she wails
"I'll-" Toru begins before I cut him off.
"I'll go." I say
"Y/N-Chan-!" Toru calls hoarsely, even though we may not seem like it at times, we are each other's best friend. We've never been apart.. for some reason our sister was never as close with us as we are to one another. This is going to be a hard change but it had to happen at some point... right..?
"No, Toru, it's your final year.. you love your team.. I can't let you transfer schools..." I reply hoarsely
"Sis..."
"I'll be fine..! I have friends in all the surrounding schools..." Both of us have tears streaming down our faces as he pulls me into a really tight hug.
"I'm gonna miss you sis..." he sobs into my shoulder
"I'll be back to visit...!" I reply as I try to blink back tears
"I know sis... just- promise me you'll get to nationals and fight us..." he begs
"You know it Ru-chan" He giggles and sniffles before we look at my mom.

"So.., Y/N...?" She asks before Toru and I hold hands and nod
"Mhmm..."
"I'll tell grandpa you'll be with him.. you leave in tomorrow..." I smile faintly and nod
"I'm gonna go back to school and tell the team..." he mumbles before I nod
"I'll come with, Ru-Chan" I reply before he smiles gently
"We'll be home later Mom"
"See you..." We wave and head out to school, as we reach the gymnasium I feel tears swelling in my eyes, they begin to stream down my face as Toru holds my hand and we walk in.

"What happened? What was the emergency?!" Kindaichi asks
"...I'm moving away..." I mumble with tears in my eyes
"You're both leaving the team?!" I reply before we shake our heads
"No... just Y/N..." Toru replies
"Babykawa.." Iwaizumi says quietly
"It'll be fine!" I chuckle with a frog in my throat. I see the team with tears swelling in their eyes as they all hug me, I pull Toru in and we all hug. The coach walks over and pats my shoulder.

"We will be having a goodbye party for Y/N tomorrow instead of practice!" He announces, I smile and hear the rest of the team giggle hoarsely
"Thanks coach..." I smile as each of the team members begin planning out the party and comforting me until;

"Y/N! Do you wanna invite Some of The other schools? It'll be a school reveal party! Like a gender reveal but what school you'll be in!" Mattsun asks before my eyes widen
"That- sounds great! Let's do that!" I reply before both him and Maki cheer
"Woo! Call some of the other schools!" They request before I nod
"On it!" I chuckle as I pull out my phone and begin calling people.

"HEY HEY HEYYY!" My first guest cheers as he picks up
"Hey Bokuto-San!" I greet him
"What's up Oikawa?!"
"My team is having a party for me leaving-" I start before he gasps and cuts me off
"Where are you going?!" He asks
"I don't know yet, it's a gender reveal party but it reveals my school instead. We were wondering if you and Akaashi would like to join!" I offer before he gasps
"YOU BET!" He replies
"Okay Bokuto-San! See you tomorrow!"

Similar conversations go down with the other schools until;

"Hey Wakatoshi-San!" I greet him
"USHYYY WHO IS IT?" I hear Satori in the background
"It's Little Oikawa. How may I help you little Oikawa?" He asks
"WHY IS SHE CALLING?" I chuckle and begin to explain why I called and hear Tendō screaming that they'll come for sure.

I giggle as I hear him yelling that he's coming over after practice. I hang up the phone as I realise the others are all finished planning.

"We're gonna throw the best school reveal party ever!" Toru cheers
"And the only ever one!" I laugh and hug the group with tears in my eyes until the coach tells me to go home so they can begin preparations. I walk to my home and immediately I feel arms around my waist.

"Hey Cherry"
"Hey paradise! I have a question for ya!" He cheers
"What's up?" He clears his throat and gets down on one knee jokingly whilst holding my hand

"Would you do me the honour of being my date to your party tomorrow?" I chuckle and wrap my arms around him.
"How could I say no?" He gets up and laughs with me
"You looked sad, had to at least make you giggle" he tells me before I smile and hug him
"Thanks babe.."I kiss his cheek as we walk into my house and he begins to help me pack my stuff.
