Diego P.O.V

I woke up and saw my friends still asleep. I was looking around the ship. We were still in the sea. I decided to think about Shira. I really miss her.

Flashback

I was close with Shira. Shira is still learning how to talk. I only know a few words.

Shira would come to me when I'm relaxing. Shira would babble at me. Which I could understand what she want by her attitude. Shira tackle me to the ground.

I would play with her as my bestfriend. I would let Shira win. Shira is cute when she babble.

I spoke trying tell her my name, "D ddiego."

Shira seems confused why I said Diego. Then I pointed myself and spoke, "Diego."

Then Shira realized that I'm being called. Shira would simply smile and make me lay down on my back. Shira would get curious with my paws. Shira placed her paw on mine.

I know she is curious as I am. We would simply play all day. Whenever I get tired of playing I would fall asleep. After a while I felt something touching next to me.

I opened my eyes and looked on my left side. It Shira sleeping next to me. I was very embarrassed because it is the first time a girl sleeping next to me.

Shira would snuggle into my chest. Then my parents come and sees me and Shira sleeping together.

My mom spoke, "Aww look at them two they are sleeping together like a couple. Which they can be. I think that Shira has crush on Diego. "

I had my eyes close so they think I'm asleep. Then after had my energy up. I would run around. I saw that Shira is still asleep. I decided to wait for her.

I was in front of her waiting for her to wake up. After a while of waiting Shira finally woke up. Shira saw me Shira started mewing at me. Then suddenly our noses touch each other. I was wanting to back off then Shira places her head on mine.

Shira was trying to tell me that she hang out with me. I back off before our parents sees us.

Then Shira says her first words, "D, d Di. Ego. Diego."

I was so happy to hear her first word and it was my name. Then we started playing.

End of flashback

My friends woke up from their nap. After a while we saw land. Manny saw her daughter Peaches as a hostage by Gutt.

Then I heard a groaning sound. I saw it was Shira it seems she was beaten. I turned to Gutt with anger.

Then the combat began. Alexander was dealing most of the crew. Manny with Raz. I went to help on her feet.

Shira spoke, "Why are you helping me, Diego?"

I responded, "I'm doing this because I care about you."

Then I tackled by Gutt. Gutt began to choke me. Then I saw Shira bites Gutt's leg. Which Gutt let me go. Now Gutt has Shira. Then Alexander comes in by kicking him on his face.

After a while Gutt and his crew are gone. Then Shira walk towards me.

Shira spoke, "Do you want me join your screwy crew?"

I responded, "You bet welcome to our herd."

Shira would smile at me. I know that I started to get her back just need patience. The only thing I need her trust and love to be together as a couple like before. As we were looking for our new home to live.
