The Rising of the Hammer Hero [Volume 1+2]

[Volume 1] Chapter 3 - The King

"Brave heroes! I believe my personnel has already explained the situation to you all." The King announced while whispering to his advisor about how there was a fifth person. 

The heroes stood in a line horizontally, facing the King.

"Ahem, as to deal with the fifth hero, we will provide him with the same resources as all the other heroes." Yakersuku's head perked at this mention and the shield hero grinned at him. He smiled back and began to feel excitement running through his veins at the thought of becoming a real hero. 

"Now, can each hero name themselves?" Asked the king.

"Ren Amaki, 16 years old, and a highschool student." Said the now named raven-haired kid, as he looks around.

"Alright, I'm Motoyasu Kitamura, 21 years old, and I'm a college student." Explains the ponytailed guy as he swung his spear over his back.

"I guess I'm up next. I'm Itsuki Kawasumi, I'm 17, and I'm still in highschool." Says the fair hair as he grips his bow very tightly.

"My name is Naofumi Iwatani, I'm 20 years, and I'm a college student." Continues the guy with the shield who has been encouraging me a lot. 

Finally, it was Yaketsuku's turn to introduce himself, he took a deep breath, and said "I'm Yaketsuku Hiro, I am 17 of age, and I am a highschool student." 

The King carried on, "So, Ren, Motoyasu, Itsuki, and Yaketsuku, right?"

"Hey King, you forgot about me!" Naofumi voiced his concerns.

"Ah yes, my apologies, shield hero." The king pronounced the last 2 words strangely, almost as if he was mocking the shield. Yaketsuku's eyes narrowed at this. He felt the unease that the king may either be up to something, or just doesn't like the shield hero. 

"Anyway," the king continued, Hey! he just ignored Naofumi! What's with this king? Yaketsuku angrily thought, and saw the anguish on Naofumi's face. "We now ask you all to confirm your statuses!"

Hmm? A status? what's that? Possible theories swirled around Yaketsuku's mind and didn't amount to anything. 

Ren spoke up: "You mean, you guys didn't notice the icon in the corner of our vision? I thought you had all noticed that as soon as we came here." 

"Oh I see it, let me just examine it, oh-" Yaketsuku started and was surprised by the game like GUI that popped up in front of him. Everyone else besides Ren also discovered their gui and seemed very surprised. 

Here are Yaketsuku's stats:

ATK: 800

Wait what? Why do I have like no health? And from what I'm used to, My attack is way too high to be normal! Yaketsuku stared at his low health, then at his strangely high attack stat. "Ugh, level 1 with only 200 attack? I won't be able to fight like this..." He heard the sword hero, Ren, say. 

"What? But I have 800 in my attack stat! Why is yours' so low?" Yaketsuku asked urgently.

"Wait, hold on a second, did you just say you had 800 attack? Are you joking?" Ren stared in shock and amazement. 

"Yeah, but I only have 75 health! I'm gonna die so fast..." Groaned Yaketsuku.

"Oh jeez, you're gonna have a hard time, huh. I have 1200 health!" Said Naofumi.

Why does this world have to be so unbalanced... Yaketsuku internally groaned as he tried to figure out what the hell was going on. "Whatever, I'll figure it out tomorrow, I'm beat!" voiced Yaketsuku aloud. 

"Ah yes, please follow this maid, she will take you to your rooms where you can rest for tomorrow." Cut in the King.

A maid came out of the shadows on their left and said: "Please come this way, great heroes." bowing her head and leading them to their rooms. The heroes followed, and Yaketsuku slowly kept up as he went over what had happened in his head. 

"Here we are, heroes." The maid bowed again and left them in front of their door. Motoyasu pushed open the door and the 5 heroes were greeted by a medieval version of a living room, and it was very lavish. There were 8 doors from this room, probably made for heroes. 

The heroes settled down on chairs and couches, and began to discuss their worlds. Yaketsuku immediately went to bed, completely exhausted from the day and simply wanted to be ready for tomorrow.

Alright, here's another chapter I guess, I know nothing has heated up just yet, but I promise you, it will! I haven't even started on my ideas yet... eheheh. But anyway, hope you guys enjoyed, and ima see you guys in the next one!
