Jc's POV:
At first, I thought that Kian and Bobby were just screwing around with me, but soon came to a realization that he really wasn't waking up because of a bad dream he was having, so I attempted to shake at his shoulders for a little while Bobby turned the lights on.
Kian still wasn't having any response. "Dude, this isn't alright. What's wrong with him?" Bobby asked, looking at me. But I myself had no idea what was happening. So, I called out to him loudly.
"Kian! Kian!!" There was so much going on downstairs that I ran towards the door to close it for some privacy and silence to see if I could try and focus on either mine or Bobby's voice first.
My friend suggested to lift him up, but the moment I reached out to grab his shoulders for a second time, he violently gripped onto my shirt and finally opened his eyes, leaving both Bobby and I in shock.
"CHILL! Kian, chill out man! It was just a bad dream, dude." My friend then fell limp back onto the bed to fully wake up, apologizing to us with redness in his eyes. Jeez, what could he have dreamt about that left him this way?
"We're good, Bobby. Thanks for the help. I'll stay here with him." Bobby slowly nodded at me, walking backwards out in shock. I could tell he had been slightly affected by Kian's sudden reaction. I myself was left wondering why he would launch himself at me like that, but I didn't ask him anything.
I decided to just comfort him for a little while until he was fully awake. "I'm good now, sorry for worrying you man. I... I was just having a nightmare.. The worst nightmare I've ever had. Holy shit." He breathed out, and for a moment I could almost see his heartbeat through his shirtless body.
My eyes quickly shifted upwards to his face as I pat on his back. "You alright now, Kian?" He gave me a look of reassurance, but his eyes didn't seem to match with his nod.
"I'm going to wash my face." Was all that he said to me as he stood up, pushing his hair back. A sense of regret filled up within me when I watched as a tear slid down the boy's cheek when I left him alone. Yet I didn't follow him because I thought he would have been alright.
Nonetheless, I ceased to accompany him and let the man be. Soon, a knock on the door distracted me. This time, Corey answered it. While I was still upstairs, I spoke to Kian through the door and asked him if he would be alright.
"Hey, Kian! While you freshen up a bit in there for a while, I'm gonna head down to greet our friends. Will you be alright on your own for a few minutes?" He replied with a simple, I
"Yeah, sure." So I walked away from the bathroom door and headed downstairs.A smile traced my face when I opened my arms to hug a couple of our friends who had just arrived. "Ayyy! What's up, guys?" A pair of two amazing friends of Kian and I visited us to surprise Kian. Those friends were Sam and Colby, who we recently started to collaborate with on our YouTube channel.
"We're so happy to be here, man! We brought this for Kian to congratulate him." Sam told me, as I smiled kindly while holding onto a small gift bag.
"Thanks for being here, guys. We really appreciate it. Kian should be out in a couple of minutes, so make yourselves at home." I politely welcomed them in and waited for Kian to finish getting ready.
But one thing never left my mind... What did Kian dream of to make him act this way?
