Hi! I hope you guys enjoy my next chapter! I am really excited to introduce you fully to Noah's character, he's really cool! Btw, next chapter we get to learn about Rowan's past, keep an eye out!-- Ariel <3

Tyler and Larissa pulled up to a gothic-looking apartment building, Tyler looked at the address Noah had given him and confirmed that this was the right place.

Larissa stepped out and followed Tyler up the three flights of stairs. Tyler searched for the room number and found it rather quickly, he knocked on the door. They heard shuffling from behind the door.

Noah opened it and gave them both one of his charming smiles. "I'm glad you two decided to come!" He said excitedly. "Come in, come in."

Larissa had to admit that he was rather handsome, with his stormy blue eyes and a chiseled jawline. He looked like he could be in the lead role of a movie from the 1950's, a pair of wire-framed, circular glasses were perched on his nose.

They both stepped into his apartment, it was rather quaint. Rows upon rows of books were lined on a variety of shelves, along with strange artifacts. Larissa was instantly enamored by the amount of books that she saw as she walked in. Noah sat down at a small kitchen table, he gestured for both Larissa and Tyler to do the same.

As Larissa sat down, she couldn't help but admire the book that was sitting in front of her on the table. She read over a few lines and quickly realized it was F. Scott Fitzgerald, he has good taste, Larissa thought.

They began with simple questions: how had both parties become involved with the supernatural, how had they heard about what was going at The Waverly. Noah spoke quickly and intelligently, both Larissa and Tyler felt like they were having a hard time keeping up.

Noah stood up and browsed through one of his shelves, he tapped his index finger on the top of several books before finally pulling one of the shelf. "I've been fascinated by The Waverly case ever since I heard about the first killing," he said, still standing. Noah made his way back to the table and sat down, his feet propped up on the chair next to him. "But I've been unable to figure out what is exactly going on."

"I think it could be a vengeful spirit," Tyler said, "I mean, it makes sense. Something bad happens to someone in the club, they seek out revenge on those who want to perform there."

Noah contemplated that for a moment, "Hmm, that would make sense!" He sounded excited at the notion. "Now if we could just figure out why the spirit would want vengeance, and vengeance, specifically on performers."

"Has anything happened there?" Larissa inquired. "Like someone dying in the club, maybe getting killed?"

"That would make sense," both Noah and Tyler said together. Noah swept up from his chair and went to another set of shelves. He scanned them for a moment before pulling out a few books and setting them down on the table. He picked up one of them and began thumbing through before saying, "if anything happened, I'm sure I have it documented in here."

Larissa watched as Noah thumbed through the pages, she saw glimpses of the journal's content. Paragraphs written in black ink covered most of the pages, dates were marked at the top. Larissa swore one of the pages was dated 1934, wait what? She shook her head and continued to wait for him to find a page.

"Finally!" Noah exclaimed after flipping a few more pages. He began reading from one of the pages. "It says here that on October 12th, 2012 a singer named Marina Levin was murdered using a smashed bottle, her boyfriend found her a few hours later and vowed to find whoever did it."

"Damn," Tyler said.

"After a few weeks of search, Jeremy Samuels, that's her boyfriend, discovered that the drummer for Marina's band was the culprit of the murder. He soon found him and shot him in the alley way outside of the club."

"Wow," Larissa said quietly.

"Yeah," Noah said, sitting his book down. "So, if we are dealing with a vengeful spirit, it seems that we'll be dealing with him."

"Can we be sure of this?" Tyler asked.

"We could do some research," Noah added, "the library should have plenty of resources, if you two would like to check it out."

Both Tyler and Larissa nodded, intrigued.

The trio made their way down to Noah's car, 40's swing music played over the radio. They sped off to library, all interested in what they might find.

Noah asked the librarian where he would find anything pertaining to The Waverly, she pointed him in the righty direction. Tyler and Larissa found a table and Noah came back with a thick stack of newspapers, he plopped them down on the table before sitting down and beginning to read.

As they were researching, Larissa kept noticing strange things about Noah: the way he spoke, the way he presented himself, and even the way he looked, it was as if he was from a different era. Larissa made a note to discuss these thoughts with Tyler once they arrived back at the hotel.

Eventually they found what they were looking for. Not long after Marina's murder, her boyfriend and his friends were also killed by Marina's drummer. Reports also stated that performers saw apparitions that looked like a male. It seemed that they would be dealing with the ghost of Jeremy Samuels, who seemed to be an incredibly vengeful spirit who was out for blood.

After their research, Noah gathered as many resources as he could and brought them back to his apartment. Man, I can't wait to delve into this tonight, he thought to himself.

"Hopefully, you'll be able to meet with all of us soon," Tyler said as he packed his bag.

"Where are Nicholas and Rowan?" asked Noah. He had poured himself a cup of coffee and had brought it to his kitchen table.

"They went out for lunch," Larissa answered, "Nicholas said Rowan was going to tell him some more about himself."

Noah nodded absentmindedly, "Rowan seems to be an interesting character."

"Interesting doesn't begin to describe him," Larissa scooped up her bag. She and Tyler bid Noah farewell until later that night. Larissa climbed into the passenger's seat of Tyler's car before saying, "do you sense something off abut Noah?"

Tyler pulled them out of the parking lot before answering the question, "I'm not sure. What do you mean by off?"

"This is going to sound insane," Larissa started, "but I don't think he's as young as he looks."

Tyler chuckled. "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, when he was flipping through his journal earlier, I saw an entry dated 1934. That doesn't seem odd to you?"

"Perhaps it's an old journal. Maybe it belonged to someone in his family, and it's been passed on to him."

"What about the way he acts? I mean, he doesn't act like a normal twenty-year-old."

"So, just because he has old journals and acts like he's older than he is, you think he some kind of—" he paused, trying to find the right word "—creature?" Tyler suggested.

"Maybe," Larissa responded.

Tyler thought about it for a moment. The whole idea was entirely outlandish, but the last thing they needed to worry about was their newly found, possibly immortal friend. He had a vengeful spirit, a best friend who could see dead people, and Rowan to deal with, this was the last thing he needed.

Tyler and Larissa didn't discuss it anymore that afternoon, and they didn't mention anything to Rowan or Nicholas, who had come back from lunch in drunken stupors.
