~Accalia~
We ran further through the forest trying to pick up any scent trails and listening to any sounds that were other than our own, Lacey was running close and whimpering while sniffing the air "we will find him I promise, I won't let anything bad happen to our boy" I said confidently trying not to sound as panicked as her. I was panicking as much, but that wouldn't help the situation. I need to find my son, I promised to keep him safe..
We kept searching I had other pack members searching as well, still no sign of him or any vampires. I was starting to become doubtful, if we don't find him I don't want to imagine what they will do to him. "Earlier... when we were fighting Amara. You said she had been mutated? What does that mean" Lacey had snapped me out of my thoughts "mutations aren't common, very rare actually because the chances of the things surviving isn't likely..." I started "a mutation is when a wolf.. is injected with vampire venom or the blood of a wolf is fused with old Lycan blood. Lycan's don't exist anymore, haven't for thousands of years but some experimenters get their hands on the blood. Somehow." I sighed "mutations aren't meant to be, they die quick cause wolf bodies aren't compatible with vampire venom. As you saw with Amara, she wasn't taking well to the mutation.. if they do take to it well they can be quite powerful" I looked at her she seemed to be thinking "I've only heard of them in stories, my father used to tell me when I was young. He wanted to scare me I think." I told her she stopped her movements I stopped with her "what is it?" I looked around scanning my surroundings, my stomach sank.
There were bodies, a lot of bodies..
Lacey had shifted and walked over to one of the bodies. "I think these are all test dummies" I said as I walked over next to her they all had the same red glossed over dead eyes. "We must be getting close then" I stated "who is doing all of this?" Lacey said in a shaky voice "I don't know but we will put a stop to this" I reassured "our baby Accalia.. we have to find our baby" she said as tears fell down her cheeks I rushed to embrace her "we will! I promise baby, we will get him back. I'll kill any living soul that stands in my way" I began to feel angry, how could I let this happen? I was dumb enough to combine the borders with Sam if that hadn't happened we wouldn't be going through this and my son would be home safe.~Lacey~
I looked around through the sea of dead bodies before us, I didn't want to believe it. All this time we thought the vampires had gone away they were working on this. Trying to create mutations, at least it was failed mutations. I wouldn't want to see those creatures running around rampant.
"I'm going to see if I can pick up any trails around here, hang tight" Accalia said to me softly as I stood there trying to calm down.
Accalia had walked a bit far, I couldn't see her anymore I began walking forward then felt a sharp pain in my neck, I reached up quickly and touched the spot the pain was coming from it felt like something metal was stuck in my neck. I pulled whatever it was off of me causing even more pain, I inspected the item. A metal dart.. like what hunters use to tranquilize animals, holding the dart burned my fingers so I dropped it and looked around hoping to find the source of the dart I saw no one. Panic was setting in "ahh!" I let out a cry as another dart hit my back then my leg "ACc.." I tried to call out for my mate but I could no longer make a sound. My ears started ringing and my surroundings got fuzzy I could no longer see. I'm tired.. so tired. I shut my eyes and darkness surrounded me.~Accalia~
I had linked Lacey a few times to check on her and tell her I was heading back to the spot I had left her. Maybe she's still too shaken, our baby is still missing I want my son back I need to get him back.I had come back to the opening where all the bodies laid. Where I had left Lacey, but she is not here. Why is she not here? "Lacey?" I sniffed the air and could barely smell her. "Lacey!" I shouted there was still no response. I saw something reflect light on the forest floor, I stepped closer to it. A tranquilizer dart, "fuck!" I shifted and inspected the dart further. When I touched it my finger burned, that's a sign of wolfsbane. Poison that kills humans but for wolves it weakens us, we can't shift and can barely fight when it's in our system.
First they take my son and now they take my mate.
I shifted and tried to follow any scent I could, I am angry. I'll kill them all, all those bloodsucking bastards.
