13 ~ Order

"How's he doing?"

Jungkook asked his personal doctor after he called him to attend to Seokjin. After the claim, Seokjin's body was burning hot and he kept passing out. The omega couldn't even get up and his condition worsened by days.

Seokjin was laying down in Jungkook's bed, sweating and shaking. His face pale, writhing in pain and drowning in unspoken sadness. His eyes swollen from the constant cries. His lips red from being constantly bitten out of his fear. Throughout the time he was kept in Jungkook's possession, he could barely eat as he kept throwing out his food. The omega is getting thinner and weaker and the situation annoyed Jungkook to the core.

"I've prescribed him with the painkiller and calming pills but from my observation after attending him for a few days, I'm sorry to tell you that this is a reaction when an omega rejected the alpha's claim. Can I ask you who is this omega sir? Do you know his mate?"

There was curiousity in the doctor's voice, wondering if he was asking the right question especially when the pure breed's alpha was all stern and serious since he arrived. As Jungkook's personal doctor for years, Dr. Choi had known well how Jungkook was.

He was the one who was responsible to prescribe the alpha with the the strongest omega's pill blocker, knowing how much Jungkook despised the breed. But now, when he was contacted by the alpha himself to treat an unknown omega, one that he never met before, obviously suprise is an understatement now.

"What's with the alpha? why does having the alpha here matter for his condition now?" 

There was hints of irritation in Jungkook's voice. Mad that he had to deal with this useless problem.

He hates Seokjin for playing around with him. Now the omega served him with more problem afterwards.

"Claiming is a sacred process sir, an alpha would show his sign to claim an omega especially when both of their pheromones match. In general people would assume every alpha would be attracted towards any omega when the submissive are in heat but the attraction wouldn't lead them to a claiming or mating process.

Plus even though if any of the breed consume heat blocker, scent blocker or such, the drugs won't be as effective as both of their wolves already reacted towards one another. The matching scent would lead both of the alpha and omega to recognise their pair because they finally meet their destined mate. That's how mating process would happen.

From what I see, this omega is in heavy pain probably because the claim wasn't been completed correctly. This is dangerous for him sir. I need to see the alpha for further information about their mating process."

Long.

Yet it's unreachable.

The explanation from Dr. Choi was long and all factual but what Jungkook heard from the beta doctor stilled him. He tried to calm his wolf from exaggerating much after listening to each of the words uttered by the experienced physician.

There was no way. It's impossible.

Destined mate?

Recognise their wolves?

Jungkook did not realize how long he was in deep thoughts that he did not listen to any of the question from Dr. Choi afterwards.

"Hello...Sir Jeon Jungkook?"

"Sir?"

"Repeat"

Stern. The alpha's voice was hoarse and daunting. His eyes staring right at the innocent beta, asking him to repeat his words.

"If I may ask, can I see this omega's alpha since his condition is getting worst now. It's impossible to prescribe him with anymore drugs or medicine since I've given him with the highest doses already. More forces on him will cause him fatal sir."

It's not easy to deal with the terrifying alpha when suddenly his mood was all over the place but a 65 years old Dr. Choi has been working with the Jeon family since Jungkook's grandparents so he had already learned the real personality of each of the Jeon's successor.

Admittedly Jeon Jungkook is the most difficult pure breed alpha that he could handle. The young alpha was too eager, too harsh and too hasty in his decision. But as an experienced and professional doctor, he had to make sure this time Jeon Jungkook must listen to his advice or the innocent omega would be another victim of the alpha's ruthless action.

Jungkook tsked loudly.  Dissatisfied with the statement given by the old beta.

"No. I don't know the alpha. I pay you Choi, give anything you have to treat him or your profession is at stake"

Not an order.

Obviously it's a threat when it comes from the alpha. One that doesn't know what compassion or pity is. If giving a nice or good option wasn't working for him, dirtying his hand was never an issue for the rude alpha.

Both of the alpha and beta were staring at each other out of their stubborn selves. It's rare to see anyone against Jungkook but as an elder and one that have been taking care of Jungkook since he was born, Dr. Choi could see the hints of anxiousness and uncertainties in Jungkook's action and he was sure, the omega was the reason for it.

"No. I rather risk my job than sacrificing this innocent life. You can ask Grand Master Jeon or your father to fire me  but I've been doing this for years. I know what I am doing sir. Another doses of medicine and this kid die. I don't want to kill anyone even though it's directly coming from your order."

Dr. Choi stick with his decision despite he had to go against Jungkook, making the younger pissed off more. Jungkook gritted his teeth hard having to duel with someone who's super close to his big family. Apart from being their personal health physician, Dr. Choi is his grandfather's best friend. Arguing with him meant he had to deal with his grandfather and that was the last thing Jungkook wanted to do now.

"We're not in discussion right here Choi, I pay you. You have to obey me. Seems like you forgot where your place is. Just give this omega anything to shut him up. I don't need anymore nonsense from you."

Jungkook broke their conversation without wanted to listen about anything else regarding the omega's condition. The doctor's words about the destined mates already clouding his mind ever since he was informed about it.

Fuck the omega.

It's impossible for the old school and conservative mating would occur between him and Kim Seokjin. There was no feelings involved. He hates him. He hates the omega he wished he never met him from the beginning.

Jungkook walking out from the room in rush, feeling his heart full and constricted. The unknown  pain that he could feel in his chest since past few days suffocating him suddenly. He had to go out or the omega's scent would trigger him again.

He masked the throbbing pain, ignoring the other in purpose wanted to go out fast before he was stopped by the older.

All aware and brave.

"Hey Jeon Jungkook, remember one thing. Whenever this omega in pain, the alpha would feel the same despair as him too. It's normal for a mated pair.

And I guess you can feel the similar pain like him too Jeon Alpha."
