Katsuki's POV:
Some time had passed and we had finally arrived at Chipmunk's house. As we pulled up, I gently started to wake her. It was around 4:00 in the morning when we arrived, so most of us were sleeping. When she woke up, she decided to call her mom.
"Hey, mom, where are you right now?" The woman on the phone spoke for a little bit. "Oh, can you send me the address? I'm going to be on my way." The woman started speaking to her again, but then stopped. "Yes, she's here. The band's here too." I didn't really hear most of what she said, but I did hear a "band?" on the other end of the phone.
"Yes, mom, a band. Now please, send me the address. I love you. See you soon." she said, hanging up the phone. A few seconds later, Chipmunk received the location and we were on the way. I was still holding her hand.
A short drive later, we arrived at the veterinary hospital. Tiny was the first to get out, running straight for the people, who were standing at the door. Icy Hot got out and started to follow her. Shitty Hair, Chipmunk, and I worked on getting out of the car.
"Hey, mama. Where's Jackson?" Mai said, running up to the two people.
"Hi, sweetheart. I will tell you when Haruki gets closer to us. Where is she?"
"I'm right here, mom. Can you take me to Jackson?" Haruki asked, running up to her mom. They both walked into the hospital with Mai right behind them. Her father decided to stay outside, so the rest of us stayed with him.
I went up to him, Shitty Hair next to me, and shook his hand. "Hello, sir. I'm Katsuki."
"Yeah, I know who you are. Haruki's been a big fan of yours for the past year or two. I'm Mike." he said, shaking our hands. His voice was low and deep. "So, why did you bring them here?" he said, sadness in his voice.
"Haruki's one of our newest members. She's been with us for the past month. Her and Mai are amazing people and very talented. Both are also very beautiful young women." Shitty Hair said, standing behind me. "I'm Eijiro. Nice to meet you, sir." he held out his hand for Mike to shake.
Everyone introduced themselves to Haruki's father after our little conversation. He seemed like a nice man, but he was also very upset about the state of his dog. "If you don't mind me asking, why aren't you with your family?"
"Oh, Jackson was Haruki's dog. She's had him since she was nine, so she grew up with him. Before she left for school, he was not moving around that much. She worried about him, but still left with Mai." When he talks about those two, he acted like a father.
"So, has Mai been around you guys for a while?" Shoto asked. He was standing in front of us with Pickachu and Deku.
"She's lived with us since the seventh grade. We met her four years before she came to live with us. Her parents and my wife and I were friends in high school. They tour around the world and stuff, so instead of taking her with them, they left her with us. They also wanted to keep Haruki and her together. I'm pretty sure they live in Paris now, but we've really spoken to them in a bit. Mai and Haruki visited them when they graduated high school." So Mai lived with Haruki and her parents. That makes sense now.
We talked for a little bit more about the girls. That's when Mike spoke again; "So, what's your relationship with my daughters? I know you're a popular band and all, but the three of you seem extremely close to them. Care to explain?"
I immediately got scared. Nothing is scarier than a father trying to protect his children, especially his daughters. "Well sir, I asked Mai on a date the other day. We were going to go later this evening, but she came here. She wanted to be here for Haruki." Damn. Icy Hot seems so confident. What the hell?
"Um, Katsuki, Haruki and I were all going to go on a double date with Mai and Shoto this evening. But when she got the call, we wanted her to be here instead. Actually, Katsuki was there when she received the news. He was the one who wanted to drive her here himself. But everyone wanted to come and support, so we all came. I hope it's not disrespectful for us being here." Shitty Hair spoke up. I guess he realized I was too scared to answer.
"It's not disrespectful at all. I appreciate all you guys coming here to support her and Mai. Thank you. If you guys need a place to stay, you're all welcome to stay at our house. We'll have to blow up air mattresses or something for you guys to sleep on, but we want to help you guys. Since you did bring them here and support them." her father smiled a little bit.
As he did, Haruki walked out. Her mother and Mai were right behind her. She kept looking down towards the floor. We all knew what had just occurred. Her mother walked over to her father and cried as he pulled her into an embrace. Mai and Haruki walked up to us and stood there, heads hanging low, keeping their eyes to the ground.
None of us hesitated to pull them into a hug. Haru clung onto the front of my shirt, resting her head onto my shoulder, and let out a few soft sobs. Eijiro came up behind her, encasing her in his embrace as I wrapped my arms around the both of them. I heard whisper words of condolences into her ear as I glanced over to Shoto and Mai. She was letting out some high-pitched cries, clenching her hands into his shirt, and sobbing into his chest. He held her close, leaning his head down to whisper to her to breathe. He held her tightly against him, rubbing his hands up her back.
No one was in a rush to pull away from each other., so we stayed like that for what felt like a long time. My eyes started to water as I felt Haruki shake a bit. I glanced back to both her and Eijiro to see that he was quietly crying as well. I started to tear up a bit and held them closer to me, tightening my grasp on them. I couldn't see it, but I could tell Shoto was probably feeling the same way with Mai. It hurt seeing how the girls were at this moment in time. About twenty minutes later, we walked over to the van, girls still clinging onto us, and got in. We were headed back to their childhood house.
After getting to the house, we all walked into their old bedroom. They had full-sized beds in each corner of the room, both having a different comforter, but similar headboards. Mai grabbed two air mattresses from the attic and laid them out before starting to blow them up. No one had talked to each other since getting back from the hospital, so the room was quiet. After blowing up the air mattresses, we all decided to head to bed. When Shitty Hair and I started to move away, Haruki grabbed our wrists and stood still.
"Do you want us to get you something?" Shitty Hair asked. She shook her head, indicating a 'no'.
"Do you want us to stay with you?" She shook her head, 'yes', and let go of our wrists. I walked over to her bed and laid down, resting up against her wall. Haruki got in, cuddling right into my chest. Shitty hair got behind her and cuddled into her neck. I put my arm around her waist and laid my head down. I kissed her forehead and closed my eyes.
"Goodnight Princess. Katsuki and I can make dinner for you and your family or we will take you out. Take it as a 'thanks' for letting us be here with you. It's okay now. Get some sleep if you can. We're right here." Eijiro said. With that, Haruki nuzzled into both of us and we all fell asleep
