Maiemi Pov:
As soon as I got out of the car, I immediately regretted it. "Haruki?" She looked over from beside her and hmmed. "Um, Why are we at a karaoke cafe?"
"Well of course we are. I already rented out the room on the way for three hours." she smiled and dragged me into the cafe. After a few seconds, we walked into a room, in the said room there were all of our friends. Including Denki who was singing Hot and Cold from Katy Perry. I already don't like this. Denki was on the floor and he sang his heart out. I definitely don't wanna be here now. I looked over to Haruki, who would not stop smiling. Is she happy to put me through embarrassment? I sighed and walked over to the couch and sat down, only to be picked up and put onto Shoto's lap. My chest felt heavy. Haruki I hate you with every part of my being. I looked over to see she had a big bright smile on her face. This is what she thrives in. being around people. I don't. I like being either by myself or with her or shoto, sometimes not even them just myself. It's something I have always done since... yeah.
I felt a light touch on my hand. I looked down to Shoto who only smiled. It's these moments that make me feel safe and okay. I smiled back and looked up at Denki, who was still on the same song. That was until he was pushed off by an excited Eijiro who sang a song I didn't recognize. It was a nice song. I just didn't know what it was. For the first time that day, I was having fun and didn't worry about anything. Was for some reason very, I don't know, I would say relaxing but it wasn't. It was soothing? I guess? Yeah, let's go with that. Once Eijiro was done, I felt Haruki pulling me. "What are you doing?"
Haruki pulled me up on stage and looked through the iPad at the songs. "We're going to sing. Did you think I was going to a karaoke place to not have you sing?"
"But why?" Haruki snapped her head up for a second, dead eyeing me. "You're the singer out of us both."
"We both can sing Maiemi." She straightened up and looked me dead in the eyes. "I want you to sing your song at our concerts. You wrote it. It's you finding yourself. Not me. This song is you. I want you to feel confident enough to sing it."
"And bringing me here you thought was going to help?"
"Hey, I'm trying. You don't sing in front of anyone but me and Mina. Not even my parents."
I rolled my eyes. "Have you ever thought there was a reason for that?"
Haruki nodded. "Of course I know why you don't. I want to try and help with it. These are people we trust." I looked out to see everyone smiling.
These are people who are here for you one hundred present. Trust them Maiemi. I let out a deep breath. "Fine. pick a song." Haruki jumped up and down excitedly and looked through the songs, and pressed one. "Are you not going to tell me what it is?"
