“Be especially careful when you are trying to be good so that you don’t make a performance out of it. It might be good theater, but the God who made you won’t be applauding.
Matthew 6:1 MSG

'Audience of One'

We don't need audience when we do good. We don't have to inform anyone when we help. If that's the case, don't do it. It's happy to hear and see praises from other people but that's not really the worth of doing it. It's okay to be appreciated but if you are too overwhelmed by your own ability, it's different. It must be God.

We are not trying to do good to win others' approval and applause. We are doing what is righteous because we know that our God who is so, so good loves us so much that He gave His Son to save us from death. Jesus heals, provides, and performed many miracles... but not a single one He boasted. He even does it 'secretly' like when He healed a man with a leprosy, He said not to tell other. How about us? Would we, can we do good even no one sees us?
