As I lay dying

Chapter 6

 I had fell asleep so Lily decided to wake me up ten minutes before we landed. "Celeste please behave and have manners and make a good impression please." She has been telling me the whole ride to behave well and have manners.

Then when we heard the flying attendant over the speaker "We have now landed" she said. Lily and I unbuckled ourselves and made our way out of the plane. We have now landed thank God.

When we got down there was tall man waiting for us with an all black SUV vehicle. "Who are you?" I asked him. "I am here to take Miss Lyra and Miss Celeste back to the mansion." "Oh hi that is us" Lily said walking over to us with our luggages. "I'll take that for you" he told her. We made our way into the car.

 The whole car ride Lily has been bothering me on how to act and when she was about to fix my hair we arrived, and I looked at the house. "He wasn't kidding when he said a mansion" I said thinking out loud. Lily nudged my shoulder. " Opps sorry did I say that out loud" I asked her. "Yes you did". From the corner of my eye I could see the driver wanted to laugh from what I had said. We took our luggages from the trunk and made our way to the front door.

Lily knocked and we waited for somebody to open the door. "So are you excited to meet your family?" She asked me while keeping her eyes on the door. "No why couldn't I just go to an orphanage" I complained. "Because you have family that can take care of you, and for the last time ple-" I cut her off before she could say anything. "Behave, yes I know Lily."

I wasn't planning on getting too close with my family or get to know them. Why would I want to be close with someone that took me away from my family and friends, my entire life.

After a while Lily knocked again and answered a tall man that looked intimidating. "Hello come in" He said. I kept my head down because I wanted to avoid every body. He led us into an enormous living room and left to get Lily something to drink. Then we sat down and I started to look around and so did Lily. "So how do you feel?" she asked me. I gave her a small "I'm fine" because I wasnt in the mood to talk. I guess she got the message because she stopped asking me questions and got out her notepad and pen and wrote some stuff down.

After a while I heard footsteps so I put my head down. "Good afternoon Mr.Harington" Lily  said. "Good afternoon Miss Lyra and Celeste." He said. I kept my head down and avoided eye contact and didnt say anything they were waiting for me to say good afternoon back but I think they got the message. "Excuse her she's a little jet lagged." Lily said and we all sat down.

"How was your guys trip, comfortable I hope" Timothy said. "Yes yes very comfortable thank you" lily said. "How about you Celeste?"
He asked me. I wasn't going to answer when I felt Lily nudge me a little. She nudged me where Darelled had kicked me a few weeks ago it took everything in me not to scream. So I just mumbled a simple fine and kept looking down focusing on my boots.

"So now let's get things going shall we" Lilly said enthusiastically. Timothy nodded."I will take a look around and see if this is a safe and comfortable environment for a child and I will stay be staying by a hotel nearby for three days and be visiting you for an hour to see how you guys settle down and every 2 months I will be doing check ups" she said smiling. As soon as she said that I looked up for the first time since we arrived and ignored Timothy staring at me and avoided eye contact and looked at her. She gave me a sad smile and I gave her a blank look and stared back down at my boots.

After a while of them talking Lilly got up and said "Well its getting late now I must be going, but first I'll have a word with Celeste." She pulled me away a few feet away so he couldn't here us. "I thought you said you were doing monthly check ups" I said. "I know but I got new cases and I cant make every month plus you'll get to know him better." "I dont want to get to know him or anybody" I said.

"You can keep on shutting people out Celeste he trying to make an effort" she said. "Yes I can and I will." "Stop being stubborn" she said getting a card out and handing it to me "That's my phone number if you need anything or if something happens call me okay" I nodded we went to the front door where Timothy was waiting. She said goodbye and left.

There was an awkward silence so I decided to ask him where I will be staying. "Will you show me where I will be staying"  "Yes follow me" he said leading. He opened the door and led me inside.

"I hope you like it" he told me. "Yes I do thank you" I said looking around the bedroom amazed. "Okay then dinner will be ready at 5 and I will come and get you." I nodded. He turned towards the door as soon as he was about to leave he said "Oh and I'm sorry for your loss." "Thank you" I said not looking at him. Then he left.

I decided to start unpacking. While I was unpacking i remebered the letters that i have found in my mothers bedroom. I left them in my luggage so i wouldn't loose them. I was a bit jetlagged so I decided to shower.
As I was undressing my side was sore then I remebered that's where Lily had nudged me on accident. It was starting to turn black and purple. "Great another one to cover up" I said.

As I dried myself I chose my outfit and started to bandage up my cuts and cover my bruises before I changed. I dried my hair and put it into a low ponytail.

As I finished I heard a knock on the door. "Come in" I said. Then came in Timothy. "You ready" he asked me. I mumbled a small yes.

 After walking we came across a white door which I assumed that led to the the dining room. As soon as he opened the door I saw 5 guys and a girl that looked like me all seated at the table. All eye turned to us. As soon as they saw me they all had wide eyes.

Timothy cleared his throat and said "Guys meet Celeste." Then we took our seats. "Introduce yourself starting with the oldest" Timothy said as we sat down. A tall muscular with gray eyes and a some tattoos stood up and said "Hello my name is Allistair and I'm 27." Next one stood "Hi my name is Oliver and I'm 24" he was slim with curly hair and hazel eyes and looked friendly. "I'm Evander and I'm 21" he was also muscular with gray eyes. "Silas I'm 18" he has hazel eyes and brown hair and had a glare at me trying to scare me but I have seen worse. "Hi I'm Juluis and I'm 18 as well" he was slim but muscular with gray eyes and brown hair and he made me feel comfortable. Last was the girl she stood up like the rest "I'm Calliope and I'm 16" she said looking at me closely. "Celeste meet your siblings" Timothy said. "Would you like to introduce yourself" he asked me. I nodded hesitantly and put a blank face on. "Hello my name is Celeste and I'm 16 years old."  "Food ready everyone sit down" Timothy says. We all sit down and the maids come in with more food that I've seen my whole life. They started to serve us and everybody started eating. They all started eating.

After a while they started to ask me questions. "So where did you live?" Juluis asked me everybody seemed surprised that he talked. "I lived in England" I answered. "What school did you go to" Calliope asked me. "I was home schooled." "Where is mom?" Silas asked me. I saw Timothy stiffen at the mention of her name and everyone turned to me. "Shes dead" I said blankly and coldly. I cleared my throat  "Its been a long day I think I should go to bed thank you for the food" I said getting up.

When I got to my bedroom I got out my wax pen and hit it. I got into my pajamas and into bed. 

I was wondering what were Olive and Camilla doing or if they have noticed I was gone. After minutes of thinking I finally feel asleep.
