As I lay dying

Chapter 8

       After a very stressful night filled with overthinking It was finally morning. I woke up and made my bed. I might not like this new family of mine but I don't want them to think just because I wasn't raised preppy and rich like them I don't have manners.

  I got in the shower and made sure to gently scrub the bruises that were on my body. I wonder when these scars are going to go away. Well maybe if you weren't such a idiot and started cutting again they would've gone away by now. Shut up.  I was so distracted thinking to myself that I didn't hear the knock that was coming from my bedroom door. I guess they realized I wasn't going to answer so they left because after a while the knocking stopped.

After I got out of the shower I went to go pick my outfit.

I decided to go with something casual I wanted to explore the house today and hopefully not run into none of them. You know I should come up with a code name for them. I'm getting tired of referring to them as just "them". I think that's the most I have ever said them in a sentence and probably the last time.

Anyways we're getting off topic. What are those spooky creature called from Harry Potter, oh yeah I remember dementors. "I'll hopefully not run into the dementors". As soon as I said that I heard a knock at the door. 

I opened it and it was it was Oliver or is it Julius, I really don't know they all look so much alike. " Hello" he said as he waved his hand in my face. That movement startled me so I did the only logical thing that I could think of. I swatted his hand away. " Ow that hurt" he said "Sorry I didn't mean to do that you just startled me" I said " It's okay" he said as he just stood there analyzing my features. " Well do you need anything or" "Oh yeah I'm sorry I just came to inform you that every morning we all have breakfast together, and I was wondering if you would want to join us?" He informed me, I didn't know what to say so my dumbass agreed "Great be down in 5 that's usually when everyone gets there and I know you wouldn't want to be the first one down" he said and then ran down the stairs with the biggest smile on his face.

I'm not going to lie I'm nervous I know for a fact half the dementors don't like me for whatever reason. I went to brush my teeth real quick and made sure every inch of my body was covered up.

I then went to check the time on my phone. "Shit!" I yelled out. It had been 10 min since he came to tell me about breakfast. I rush downstairs and opened the dining room doors and everyone turned to look at me. "Finally it was about time, you had us waiting to eat breakfast" Silas said in the rudest tone manageable. "Now don't be rude she's fine it's not like you were going to eat the food anyways" Alistair said with a glare sent Silas way. If looks can kill he would be 10 feet under.

"Okay guys come on it's 7 in the morning, now sit down and let's eat" Calliope said calmly. I went to take a seat next to Julius because it was the only empty seat available. As I went to take a seat Calliope kept on staring at me with this weird expression. "If you keep on staring at her like that your going to scare her off" said Julius in a blank tone. I guess Calliope heard because she blushed in embarrassment. "I'm sorry but you look so much like mom it's freaking me out" she said in a shy tone. Everyone looked at her some with shocked expressions and others with angry ones.

It was quiet for a while until I asked them where Timothy was since Oliver claimed it was a "Family" breakfast. "He went on a business trip but he will be back by next weekend" Alistair said.
After a while they started to have normal conversations that didn't include me in them which I wasn't surprised. They all asked Calliope how schools been going and asking Julius how art classes been going for him he mumbled a short good I've noticed that he rarely interacts with anyone and never comes out of that room in the north side of the house.

"Do you miss England?" asked Oliver which made everyone's attention turn to me. "Yes very much" I answered. "Then why not just go back" Silas mumbled. I ignored him because I didn't want to cause any problems while I'm here. "So how was mom" asked Calliope with an eager expression I guess she wanted to know more about her. "She was great amazing even she would of been very excited to see you" I said looking at her. As soon as she heard that she had the biggest smile ever.
Alistair clear his throat and said "Well Celeste  you will be going to schools Silas, Julius, and Calliope you will be starting school in two weeks since there on break any question?" He asked I shook my head. "I expect verbal answers Celeste. That pissed me off so responded with the most coldest no I could muster.

I guess that ticked him off because he gave me a pretty nasty glare that would make me shut my pants but I wasn't going to back down. Everyone was staring at us like something was about to go down. "Thank you for the food but I'll like to be excused now" I said. "I thinks that's for the best you should retire to your room" Alistair said in a mean tone. "Gladly" said as I shoved the chair on my way out. As soon as shut the dining room doors I heard them all start talking and laughing I heard someone say "she will never fit in with us she is not my sister and I will not treat her as such" I'm not going to lie that stung but I don't know why. I then retired to my room.
