20. Still alive?

The four of us celebrated Avatar Day. Well, it wasn't quite a celebration to be honest. Aang was being accused for something Avatar Kyoshi was accountable for and he was thrown in jail. Sokka started to "investigate" the case, while Katara went with him to Kyoshi Island while I was dancing to get some money. Aang managed to prove his innocence in the case and restore the good name of Avatar Kyoshi. The four of us left the town with a filled stomach and a pocket of money. We were now at a large town called Gaoling, where our next adventure awaits.

"It's pricey... but I really do like it." Sokka said when he stared at an authentic earthkingdom bag. "Then you should get it, you deserve it." Katara said who stood next to him. "I do, don't I?" Sokka replied. "But I don't know-" I sighed and looked at him.

"Sokka just buy it! You deserve to have something nice." I said annoyed and smirked at him. "By the way," I said when I counted the coins in my pocket, "so do I." I walked over to a stand where they sold make up, scarfs and jewelry. I got myself a nice kohl pencil and a hairpiece for Katara.

"What is that?" I asked when I walked back to my friends, seeing Aang holding a piece of paper.
"It's a coupon. The first lesson of earthbending is free." He said with a big smile. "That's nice." I replied. "When is the first lesson?"

The first lesson was today, and Aang went to the school. Sokka, Katara and I waited outside the gate, eating some fruit. After half an hour Aang came back. "And?" The three asked at the same time. "He is not the one." Aang said grumpily.

Two boys a bit older than me passed by. "I think the Boulder is gonna win his belt back, he has to fight one of the best earth benders of the world!" Aang stood up and walked to the boys. "Excuse me? Where is this earth bending tournament exactly?" He asked friendly.
"It's on the island of Notya.... Notya bussiness." One of them said and they laughed as they walked away. Sokka laughed loudly. "I gotta remember that one."

I gave him a look and walked up to Aang. "I am going to ask them again." I said and I walked up to the boys.
"Hey cuties, wait up!" I ran up to them and we disappeared around the corner. After two minutes I came back.

"Are you ready to find an Earthbending teacher? Because we are going to Rumble 6! I said with a huge smile.
"How did you get them to tell you?" Aang asked amazed.
"I kinda have my ways." I said and I winked to Katara. We walked around the corner, passing the two boys who's eyebrows had been burned off.

The Rumble 6 was in a huge secret cave. The four of us entered and we walked up to the front row seats. "These are front row seats, why isn't anyone else sitting here?" Aang asked, and at that moment a huge rock of earth smashed in the first, second and third row seat a few feet away from Aang. "That's why." I said shocked and I looked at the platform. It stood high above the ground.

Out of the middle of the platform a man rose and he spoke some welcoming words: "Welcome to Rumble 6! I am your host tonight, Xin Fu!" Sokka, Aang and I were staring at the very strong looking guy with big eyes, while Katara was checking her nails and turning her back to the platform.

"Why aren't you watching?" I asked her.
"These are just a bunch of guys throwing rocks to each other, it's boring" She replied with a sigh.
"It is culture, Katara. And very entertaining..." I said as I gazed at the muscles of the host.
Xin Fu explained the rules and he announced the first fight: The Boulder vs. the big Hippo.

"Listen up, Hippo," The Boulder said dramatically,"you may be big, but you ain't bad.... The Boulder is going to win this, in one slide!" I grinned and shook my head, being amazed about how ridiculous that big man sounded as he talked. When the fight started, the Hippo started to jump up and down, and the whole platform started to shake.
