I've missed you

Both of you, paralysed. Your eyes lock, the past 8 years disappeared and there you were again, in your Hulk pyjamas, being tucked into bed by your Father, you remember how he would always kiss you on the forehead before turning off her bed-side light. How he would always grasp your hand until the last second as he walked off and out of the door. How you would sing that song together, crying in each others arms, wondering if this was going to be the mission where Dad didn't come back.

"Y/n?" For the first time, Peter watched a tear fall from Tony Starks eye. He rushes towards you and scooped her up like he did all them years ago. He buried his head into your shoulder.

"Hey Einstein." He whispers.

"You remembered me. You remembered the song." You were so overwhelmed your words were squashed and muttered, but Tony knew exactly what you meant.

"How could I forget?" He stroked his palm against your long blonde hair and pulled away from the hug, realising who you were. "And now you've got powers?"

Peter stood with his jaw on the floor and stared in amazement. "You- you're - you're his daughter?".

"Yes Peter, I am. And about the powers, it's a really long story and I think I can only say it once."

"Okay, everyone is in the conference room, waiting, so I guess you can tell us all whenever your ready. God, I've missed you." Tony squeezes you a little tighter before letting her go and walking out of the door beside Happy.

Peter, who's brain seemed to be lagging slightly, asked again, "You're Mr Stark's daughter? I thought your last name was Potts."

"Yes I am and yes it is. Pepper Potts? Christ, for going to a Science school, you really are dumb sometimes." you giggles at your own little joke.

Peter held his head, like it was boiling, about to explode. Suddenly his face dropped and he turned numb. "I slept in Mr Stark's daughter's bed."

"Yeah, you did." you mock him and giggle to yourself. "Actually, we need to talk about that." Dread casted over Peter's face and he regretted even opening his mouth. "Not right now though. If I don't get this 'announcement' done in the next 5 minutes, I think I might just run away."

You walk out of the waiting room and down the hallway, towards the conference room. Towards the avengers.
