Twilight and Shining Armor walk in front of us while the rest of us stand behind and look at the great scenery. The Crystal ponies fascinate me- THEY'RE SEE THROUGH!!! :D
But seriously, the Crystal Empire is amazing so far. Lots of... crystals. -.- Wow.
When we enter the Crystal Castle, I see a pink alicorn step into the foyer. That must be Cadance, I think.
"Cadance! It's so great to see you again!" Twilight exclaims.
Man, I'm on a roll today!
Then, to our surprise, they do a little dance while reciting, "Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake. Clap your hooves and do a little shake!"
Oh dear God help us...
"That wasn't the slightest bit weird." Lauryn whispers to me sarcastically.
"Nope."
"You must be the famous Defenders I've heard so much about!" Cadance says to us with a smile.
Is that what we're called? I think.
"Um, yeah," Qber says. "I guess you could call us that."
"That is your title, no?" Cadance asks, confused.
"Sure," Keara says, trying to save Qber from embarrassment. "Wanna fill us in?"
"Alright. Discord and Queen Chrysalis have teamed up to take Equestria for themselves. As you know, both are very powerful; their powers combined could destroy everything we've ever known." She pauses for dramatic effect. "Even your own world."
Collective gasp.
"Exstitential crisis!" Lauryn bursts, taking a step back. I give her weird look, but she just shrugs.
"How would that work? We're in a completely different dimension!" Blue says.
"Well-" Twilight is cut off by Cadance before she can destroy our brains with smartness and logic.
"We're not sure how, but it will happen. Even Celestia's, Luna's, and my magic combined is not enough to defeat Discord and his allies. We need you."
(A/N: WHAT A GREAT WAY TO IGNORE MY OWN PLOT HOLES.)
Yay! I'm finally needed for once! :D
But I'm not so sure that we could handle the fate of TWO worlds. One? Maybe. Two? Probably not. I can barely handle a simple essay at school.
"Are you sure that we're the ones you want?" Lauryn asks, her face skeptical.
"You are the only ones who can do it. We don't have the know-how that you humans do." Cadance says, a new tone entering her voice. Kinda like... disgust.
Wow. RACIST.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Reed growls, stepping forward. Blue shoves him back and flashes Cadance an innocent smile.
"Uh, what I meant to say was-" Cadance starts a weak attempt at covering it up, but Twilight cuts her off.
"Celestia told me that you guys should bring along someone else- someone quick-witted and that thinks logically. Do you know anyone like that?"
Jeez Twilight. Let's just save Earth terms for Earth, hmm?
A new armband (hoofband?) floats in front of Twilight's face, surrounded by a pink aura. The space where the cutie make should be is just a plain silver plate.
We all look at one another with the same thought on our mind:
Raven.

"Alright, what do we do?" Keara asks for all of us. This is very confusing.
Twilight sighs and rolls her eyes. "Get in a circle..." We do as she tells us then she continues. "You will chant 'veni ad nos in tempore necessitatis illius et praecepit autem audieris' three times and channel your magic through your horn. This is simple."
"Says the unicorn who's been doing this her whole life..." I whisper to Blue. She snickers.
The band sits in the center of a marking on the floor. Nervous glances are thrown around, then we start. After a rainbow of red, blue, green, silver, navy blue, white, black, and grey, a flash of light and a loud bang make us turn our heads away. When we look back, a dark gray pegasus with a black raven for a cutie mark stand in the center, looking confused, surprised, and fearful all in one.
"Who are you and what have you done with... whatever it is you did something to?" He asks, then appears confused by his own words. I don't blame him- I'm confused too.
"C'mon, you know us Raven!" Skillets says.
"No, I don't... Do I?" He asks, still confused.
"Looks like you have another student, Rainbow Dash." Rarity says to Dash.
Raven perks up at this. "Rainbow Dash? Wait... is this Equestria?"
HOLY CRAP HOW DOES HE KNOW THAT?!
He steps closer to Dash, making her step back. "Umm, yeah?" She says, unsure. Her rose eyes finally break away from his gaze and stare at the ground.
"I..." He looks at all of us once more, and opens his mouth to speak but Qber stops him.
"Wall with us. We'll explain everything." He starts to walks a away, and opens the door. "AGH!" Qber yells and stumbles back. Dark red smoke drifts into the room and engulfs Qber entirely, then disappears with him.
